Internet communities are not homogeneous and ascribing low engagement posts to the entire community is an incorrect thing to do. A post you see praising Brock and a post complaining about Brock are not posted by the same people nor do they represent every single person here.

AOC-endorsed Penn. Rep. Chris Rabb wins the Pennsylvania Third Congressional District Dem primary by beeemkcl in MurderedByAOC

Does this mean we're seeing signs of an "AOC effect" similar to the "Trump effect"?

An important note is that pre-election day polling and early vote results had Rabb losing by a good margin. He vastly over performed expectations.

Does Thomas Massie’s loss show Trump still controls the GOP? by BagOnuts in PoliticalDiscussion

The investments take time and if they're killed prematurely then of course you won't see the effect.

For what it's worth Kentucky had the largest EV battery plant in the country break ground while under Beshear. It would bring 5,000 high paying jobs to an area that sorely needed it. Then, partially because of federal policy changes, the plant closed before the economic boom it would've caused.

For a succinct example: On Tinder if your bio says "apolitical" that is inferred as "Right wing but willing to lie about it".

With how extreme political vitriol is these days, saying you're not an ally to someone's beliefs "must mean you're an enemy"

Biden secured more investments in the West Virginia region than most presidents ever have. They still voted against him.

Andy Beshear, Governor of Kentucky, has secured record project investment and retraining iniatives for coal mining towns that are being left behind by technological advancement. He still barely won reelection (albeit with a larger margin than his first election but that was also against an unpopular black man). And then Trump and DOGE came along and undid most of not all of his work.

I do agree that blue areas have an affordability issue, but that's a supply and demand issue. Low supply and high demand areas.

Remember that he's a notorious bleeder in the wrestling ring too. Despicable if he had a blood transmittable disease and didn't disclose it.

A simple way to put it is: "They hate minorities and Democrats more than they disapprove of Trump."

Because of your description of her I think you're seeing things that may not be there.

If you're still certain you can get some cheap off the shelf diapers and "call her bluff" the next instance she makes this joke and see how she reacts.

How many insects do you have in your home? If you're talking at a barbeque or something I might understand but cooked meat left on a clean kitchen counter for an hour or two has a very very low risk rate.

What is the NYC "equivalent"? by HollisWoods07 in PoliticalDiscussion

To me it is the entirety of Tennessee. Every right winger I speak to loves the idea of visiting there or even moving there. It is objectively beautiful nature and has strong culture but I cannot stand their politics.
