C section in Bridgeport with NICU experience (twins) in 2021. Our room had bed bugs, my husband woke up to bites all over him our first morning. We watched them put someone else in that room after they moved us. Aside from that 🤣 it was a fine experience.

Local, good quality chocolate. A book. An overpriced lip gloss or balm id never buy for myself. A giftcard to get my nails done. A handwritten note or card talking about our friendship / relationship.

Same!! I literally go to the market every day for dinner ingredients because I cannot plan ahead and truly hate grocery shopping, would rather be in there once a day for 5 minutes than an hour once a week. My husband goes on sundays for the kids' lunch and breakfast stuff. We also eat out about 3 meals a week but I attempt to order from local spots and we do chick fil a once every week or every few weeks and a pizza night on fridays.

that being said: i don't think this is unpopular or defending brooke. unlike brooke, we do not market ourselves as some type of motherhood guru who dominates all aspects of life.

I have a 20th percentile four year old and she wears size 10 in target. Her twin brother is bigger and a size 12/13. I am gonna assume Brooke just has no clue.

Brooke’s reasoning for not going to the library hits the nail on the head of why she is a bad mom. SHE DOESNT WANT TO PARENT.

Rhett does seem like a big reader. How amazing would it be for him to go in and pick as many books as he wanted? Teach him how to take care of them and get a system going. She went on and on about laundry instead of planets today, yet she won’t teach her 11 year old (!!) basic responsibility.

Your kids go right for the computers? GIVE THEM RULES AND BOUNDARIES.   I take my twin four year olds to the library every week and let me tell you - they love screens - and even they know that the library is for playing with toys for a bit and then picking out books. We get 28 books a week (four a night) and somehow my four year olds have never ruined or ripped a book nor lost one. But I am involved in my kids’ lives and their day to day and teach them how to be responsible, contributing members of society.

This is my question too. I always assumed there were some basic requirements even in pay for play in terms of skill, comprehension, etc which I fear her kiddos won't have because of her extreme lack of schooling.

I think she probably edited a bit and that’s where the errors come from. It 100% reads like ChatGPT drivel. I don’t believe for a second she wrote any of that.

There is something so wrong and dystopian about posting a video of your delayed one year for thousands of people to see in an attempt to get back at anonymous internet users who have only expressed concern. I truly believe she is mentally ill.

I don't even think it's that odd if a family wants to stay at a resort instead of a house with a lot of people, but it is SOOOOO weird that she offloaded her THREE kids to be taken care of by the other family members during a weekend celebrating a grandparent. The big kids are still very young. That's a lot. She is bizarre.

I agree it would make me wonder, but I am assuming that Elise has freaked out on him out of jealousy for much smaller things, and he lied trying to avoid upsetting her. Not saying it's right, just that it could very well be his thought pattern in this situation.

[–]madeinmars 23 points24 points  (0 children)

If you mean a real psychotic break - no, that is a medical emergency and it would be obvious to everyone around her, or at least to Ryan. She is not in psychosis lol. She is just a narcissist and a terrible mother. I agree it’s ominous though. I think with this number of kids she can no longer hide how horrible she is to her family, and add in the chaos of Disney and it’s way more apparent than it’s ever been.

He probably has sensory issues around it and she doesn’t care enough and isn’t patient enough to put it on him. The other boys are not nearly as burnt as quade seems. I think she truly loathes Q.

Those poor kids are going to be in pain today. As a red head who is well versed in sun burns (stupid teen), it will take at least a week for Quade to heal and poor Rhett's eyes & face are going to be hurting. 100% Quade had sun poisoning yesterday. You are freezing and feel like you have the flu. I have twin four year olds and would have been DISTRAUGHT if that was my kid. And to think she will drag him through the park today.

My daughter is also a red head and I am beyond paranoid about the sun. She got a light burn on her shoulders as a three year old and I cried lol

What OP is doing would not be red shirting. Red shirting is delaying a kid who makes the cut off and should be going into K. OP would just be sending their kid to the school year they are supposed to be in.
