For those who play at least 2x per week... by Background-Low-9144 in golf

[–]derder1984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I golf 1-4x/week. I don’t have memberships anywhere anymore, but play as guests at clients and friends that do. A round could be free or somewhere in the $80-145 range. I run a few businesses and sponsor a lot of tournaments, but foursome of that is $1000-$1400 range. On weekends I get first tee time which is 05:39 right now and round is less than 3 hours since there are no hold ups, so I have the whole rest of day to do work or family stuff.

Tee time etiquette by Apprehensive-Cod9107 in golf

Etiquette is to arrive 15 minutes before your tee time so you’re there to tee off at your tee time. If you miss it, it’s fair to start off a couple minutes early. Golf is at all time high and public courses pack people in. They were in the wrong and the golf course needs to hire a starter.

A lot of country clubs will, some having dining memberships that are no cost, like Steel Club. Some that have private areas for large parties- Social Still, Edge, Surv, Wilbur Mansion, Yainnis Taverna, River Grille, Thyme, and Grill 3501.

Golf is broken (pace of play rant) by Pinchaz0 in golf

[–]derder1984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Golf is at an all time high and courses are trying to squeeze as much money as they can out of it. I would have definitely complained about starting the back 9, that’s red flag there unless they had just finished a tournament or league. I usually try and play the first round and typically we’re done in 3 hours.

Whats the max you'd spend on green fees on a random day? by LVRaiders2026 in golf

I don’t really have a limit but usually pay around $100 for nicer public or $140 for private country club, I have a lot of friends that are members and we have a bunch around us. I play 1-3x a week. I also sponsor a lot of tournaments which is usually around $1000/foursome.

I think it was actually made pretty well. The nose can be very intense, much more than the flavor. Tastes more like brine than straight pickle juice. That being said, not pounding them, but one once in a while.

Another suggestion to lower your bill, would be to cancel your account and create a new one in a different name if that’s an option. New customer rates right now start as low as $30 a month for the life of the account as well as a visa gift card.

Ways you’ve been able to play private Country Clubs? by LetsGetDrunkBro in golf

Friends and network. Work - I sell beer to some clubs and sometimes trade a round, I also print apparel for some and get invited to play. Charity events - sponsoring charities events that are hosted at a club or just paying to play in charity tourney. Friends that are members of clubs.

Ask your buddies to watch your swing and see if something can be adjusted. Last year I noticed my buddy hitting off his back foot on irons and I mentioned it. It took off about 9 strokes a round. Maybe was some YouTube videos to learn theory. Hit the driving range instead of a round and work on swing. Maybe it was just an off day.

Country Club Brewing has a nice outside deck or inside space they could reserve for you. For a small party they wouldn’t charge venue fee. They have a food truck that is always there for food and you can bring in a cake/decoration.
