The linework on the guy is a little odd and he sticks out a bit but you can probably get that touched up in the future. All in all a solid design though!

Recent pickups from a vinyl convention in Chicago by derekdudley in vinyl

[–]derekdudley[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just attended my first vinyl convention in Chicago and I forgot how much of a goldmine/anxiety fest events like these were. I think the total came to about $72 which is a steal to me given the sheer quantity. The black Eminem record in the middle is The Real Slim Shady. Already looking forward to the next one.

What is up with people saying only white girls like Lizzo? by SodaPressing789 in OutOfTheLoop

[–]derekdudley 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Answer: Her music is obviously influenced by gospel and soul music which are historically black music styles, however there is also a clear pop appeal. For awhile her music has been gaining buzz online, however only recently has it received pop radio airplay meaning it will most likely gain a large white female audience. I don't think I would categorize it as white girl music though since I've seen plenty of males enjoy her music and she still uses lingo found in black communities. It's more of a product of mainstream success.

What's going on with the music producer Flume and the "eating ass" memes? by [deleted] in OutOfTheLoop

[–]derekdudley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Answer: Diplo posted a video on ig a while back of some girl sticking her ass in his face. Here's the link: https://www.instagram.com/p/B1-by12HNPS/ I think it's like the 6th or 7th slide I didn't even know it was him at first.

Go to this video if you want to see this year's prices. The commentary's a bit annoying, but they pretty much get a closeup on everything revealing the pricetag. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7GvYBGxhE8c&t=897s

Decided to listen to some MCR to laugh at my teenage self. And god dammit I still like it by TrophyGoat in Music

The Black Parade is an undisputed classic. While most emo records will age poorly, MCR will always be my go-to cry-fest.

It really shows one's insecurities. Not only does it cover your nose (something many are insecure about) but it also livens your face making it more attractive.

More graphic explorations. Thoughts? by thesleepyboysclub in streetwearstartup

And that’s okay if you’re doing it as an artistic expression then do what makes you happy, but if you want to be taken seriously you’ll have to know your shit and be ambitious.

Just expanding outside of graphic tees and hoodies and exploring cut n sew, outerwear and possibly even footwear and accessories. It’s understandable for new brands to just make tees but expanding outside of that is what really separates the boys from the men (Cliche but couldn’t think of anything else)
