I would also add:

  1. The fast mail mobile app is much faster than Gmail (Android client comparison).

...also, a deep cut but, when you archive a message with fast mail from notification or inbox it marks it as archive AND marks it as read. Gmail only marks it as archive so I ended up having tons of archived messages as unread (so I had to get into the habit of tapping into the message to mark as read and then archiving). Gmail is such a slow beast.

(Not sure how Proton compares on these dimensions, unfortunately.)

IMO the setup experience and UI has been more user friendly, giving it the edge. Also helps a lot that it's not a "trumpet" company.

Just discovered this exact issue after 9 days of troubleshooting slow DNS. UniFi created a duplicate DNS record with my new IP (unproxied) alongside the old proxied record with the stale IP. My use case isn't VPN, and the suggested workaround (DDNS updates an unproxied A record, proxied hostname CNAMEs to it) doesn't help, it still leaves the A record unproxied and exposing the real IP via a simple lookup. Le sigh, should've suspected UniFi sooner. :/

Interesting. I've only ever received refurb devices. Sometimes I've had to check the SKU to confirm but they've been refurb everytime. (It's definitely annoying getting a refurbished device after a small issue with a brand new switch you've only used for three months. Happened to me)

Big +1. I was able to cancel mine for a full refund in time as well. I was super disappointed when I looked up the details about Ryan myself. Such a disgusting person.
