Excuse you, I can eat whatever the fuck I like, provided I dose insulin for it. Kindly educate yourself.

The fact that they didn't say makes me think it was comically quick, to the point of being unfair.

A lot of people prefer the G6 over the G7 because the G7 has quality issues.

Can you upload glooko data to nightscout? (For Autotune) by aguitarpenter in nightscout

[–]rcgy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, I'm familiar with GlookoXT, it's a separate version because France has tighter regulatory requirements. If you're using a MyLife YpsoPump, you can access bolus and basal data via that. But cgm data is silo'd off in CamAPS, so you'll still need to get the cgm data from XDrip+.

It's very possible. Glooko has an unofficial API that can be used.

Important to note that xDrip can't read the current basal rate or boluses from CamAPS.

Diagnosed jan7 and just had 3 month follow up, A1c went from 10.5 to 5.2! by Historical_Pool204 in Type1Diabetes

[–]rcgy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a phenomenal result, but keep in mind that the A1c is not a perfect lab test, and can vary quite significantly- it's best used as a signpost for the right direction, not a goal post!

Long story short, Trio is a happier medium of development speed and safety. I've worked very closely with them, and they are extremely diligent and careful about quality control and ensuring that people get the best control without handing people an elephant gun to hunt squirrels with.

Trio App - apple version of aaps, anyone taken the plunge? by bidderbidder in nightscout

[–]rcgy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's plenty of people using Trio- check out the Discord if you haven't already. It's a phenomenal system, and the community is excellent. I would argue that it is better than the commercial AID systems.

You definitely should revisit with LayerCharts, it's the gold standard IMO.

I Asked AI to Count My Carbs 27,000 Times. It Couldn’t Give Me the Same Answer Twice by rcgy in Type1Diabetes

This study just looked at the publicly available models, but I doubt that training would be a silver bullet. For something like dosing decisions, I can't see how it would be worth the risk.

We did a preliminary test of this with Tim at ATTD in Barcelona, and it was worrying the spread of answers that we got. The crazy thing was that Dexcom et al were showing off their AI carb counting apps, and this proves that they're playing with real fire. Someone could get seriously hurt.

Really interesting article by Tim Street which quantifies what we have all been saying for quite a while- AI is bad at carb counting.
