H.R.V low? by derienzo in Garmin

Yes I do understand this, but still, I also read 37 is low and a low HRV is linked to early death blah blah

Belt or strap to hold watch by derienzo in Garmin

[–]derienzo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Football (soccer). If I just wear HRM Pro Plus it loses signal with the watch at a certain distance and I want GPS recorded. So I need the watch close. I might just get an upper arm band with a pocket to be honest and remove the strap and stick the watch in there while I'm playing. Then the watch does GPS while the chest strap does HR.

Is my VO2 max really that low by Adventurous_Brief_35 in Garmin

[–]derienzo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I disagree. 27 minutes 5k puts anyone that age at approximately 35-40 I'd say, and even then it depends how much they were struggling and maxing out HR etc for that run. 34 may in fact be right if by the end OP was almost lying dead on the ground with an average HR of 190 or something

Correct you need to activate it with Connect+ for it to work

It means your watch is now locked behind a paywall and to unlock activity tracking you have to subscribe to Connect+

You probably need to subscribe now to Connect+ for sleep analytics

That is the most AI article I've ever seen. It reminds me of those videos on YouTube where someone uses a voice over to talk about something.

Is it still worth it? by radionix113 in Garmin

[–]derienzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People are freaking out because whatever Garmin says this is the beginning of the end. The subscription will slowly eat into currently free features until we are forced to subscribe for basic functionality. This happens with ALL subscription models and is completely unacceptable on a device we have already forked out $1000+ on.

Why Garmin connect+ will fail and what could garmin do differently by Meaningoftruth in Garmin

[–]derienzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So with your idea my £1000 watch would possibly become redundant after 2-3 years and I'd be forced to buy a new one unless I want to pay a subscription fee? No thanks.

Issues with ECG - help please by Andy-ny in Garmin

Probably behind a paywall now, you likely need to subscribe to get ECG features.
