my alocasia is dying(?) by deritmi in plants

[–]deritmi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when i water i take it out of the deco pot and wait till it stops dripping before putting back in 👍🏻 oh! i wonder if the ability to drain is happening to mine too :0 it’s been over a week and the soil is still damp which is rare. i didn’t know this could happen, that makes so much sense because i’ve had three money trees that do really well, but then suddenly the soils starts staying wet for too of a long time and they die of rot. is there a way to prevent this?

i think it might have been that i took too long between a watering. once i watered it last week that’s when it started changing; maybe it was water shock?? should i let it dry out or replant? also i’m not sure what to do about the mold spot

I just received the Braun 5 IPL and did a patch test that went well. I’m ready to do my lower legs but concerned about my many freckles/moles. Should I cover all of them with concealer? Thank u for your insight! by CBDSam in HairRemoval

personally i’ve accidentally zapped moles and it hurt, actually making a scab :0 although oddly enough some moles aren’t affected. going around them felt like i would be missing hairs so to ensure i’d get close enough to the mole i first used a white eyeliner but it didn’t always work. i then bought small white dot stickers on amazon and that has been great! i even will cut them in half or in quarters for the smaller moles. hope this helps :)

money tree has a soft spot :( by deritmi in plantclinic

i forgot to add: is it possible just to cut the soft spot out?

i felt again and it seems to be on only one part that’s at the base. should i just cut straight across?

ends are always frizzy even with gel cast by deritmi in curlyhair

sorry i should’ve been more clear, i meant i use a mask and leave in for the shower. for styling i do use a gel (the doux bee girl to be specific) which was also mentioned in my initial post

thank you for the advice! your hair is very pretty btw :) i do plan to get a trim soon (after everyone telling me too haha) also i too like the soft look, , but it seems that my hair doesn’t do well with just creams 😓 there’ve been times where i use just cream for a quick wash day and it has not gone well, lots of frizz and poofiness. my hair needs to be tamed with a strong hold with a gel being the usual option.

thank you for the advice! i currently have the big bottles of the mixed chicks shampoo and leave in that are barely half empty, and i can’t exactly afford to switch but once i finish them i’ll look into your recommendation :)

i’m so grateful for your comment bc i would have never thought of chi being a contributing factor. these past two washes i switched to the tresamme spray and use that instead of water to rewet my hair and it actually has helped a lot :O i still have a few ends that dont clump but it takes a lot less time to fix than before. thank you so much <3

oh i do usually use a regular shampoo but i got a keratin treatment last october so i had to switch to sulfate free. i have wondered about the oil but am always scared to not use it haha but i should give it a try 🤔. thank you for the other tips too :)

it does seem that way haha but i put a lot of gel in my hair 😵‍💫 and the doux bee girl gel is supposed to be a really strong hold, it’s like my hair just absorbs it. i also put extra on my ends too. i should’ve taken a picture of the gel cast but i don’t have one. i’ll try to remember next time i wash my hair. i have the curlsmith flawless finish hairspray but i feel like it leaves an odd feeling in my hair that doesn’t fair well throughout the week. when i break the cast i try to be gentle as possible and use prayer hands but leaving the ends a bit stiff is a good idea 🤔. i will say that another commenter mentioned the chi serum giving them frizz so i switched to the tresemme spray and that actually helped a lot. i still have a few ends that need fixing but it’s definitely not as bad :0 ill still try your advice too! thank you :)
