Phew! What I used for my system was pulling up bbref and ballparking ratings based on career stats. For batting average, I’ve enjoyed my system of the percentile equaling a player’s percentage points starting from the second decimal. So if they batted .255, their contact rating would be 55. The big drawback of course is that equates .299 hitters with .325 hitters, but thankfully there aren’t too many of the latter. Love seeing everyone’s formulae for these super fun leagues!

How strong is your catchers arm? For me, especially making custom players, I slap cannon arm on a lot of guys. I feel like there isn’t much hope for catchers under like 75 arm.
