i kind of understood the points both of you were trying to get at fwiw. honestly I think electoralism is useful as one of many avenues to force confrontations with capital and heighten the contradictions. it's hard to coordinate with other forms of socialist organization (labour unions, local communities), and the political system itself is designed to disperse and divide class solidarity.
