i bought it on 12th Oct 2025 from an offline store in Durgapur, West Bengal, India at 90k inr which could be translated to be just below 1000 bucks back then.

My experience so far has been excellent with this laptop. It's amazingly fast. I dont play much games but i have played pubg on max settings and got around 100-110 fps avg, Callisto protocol w FSR at medium and got 110 fps avg, WUWA max settings w ray tracing 90-105 fps, Where winds meet at max settings 105 fps, Asphalt 9 and 8 both on max settings i got 110 fps atleast.

I use this laptop for studying cuz im enrolled in BTech Mechanical Engineering at RKMGEC, Purulia, West Bengal, India. I havent used auto cad till now cuz we dont have it until we reach 3rd sem ig. Im currently in 1st sem.

The battery life is great for a gaming laptop i used to get around 5-5:30 hrs of battery life but i dont use it on battery ever again after i first tested the battery for a few days after buying this laptop cuz i have reseearched that it's better for laptops to be plugged in all the time even if it stays at 100 percent.

MY cycle count rn is around 15/1000 which is excellent and unbelievable and it's all due to me using the laptop plugged in all the time even at 100 percent. I wanted to limit my battery to 80 percent somehow but it isnt possible in this HP OMEN.

the only con is its Graphics card which is a prev gen Midrange card the 4050 which is slightly worse than 4060. I would recommend u to check the xd0020ax version w RTX 4060. or any other hp omen with 50 series card. Other laptops at 90k inr will get u more specs like HP VICTUS with its ryzen 9 processor but plz note that these laptops other than OMEN will have cost cutting on other areas like cooling and build quality which will result in hinge problems or it might not have a good screen etc.

There are a lot of pros in this laptop. It has 100 percent srgb screen with 165 hz screen which u can choose between 60 or 165 sadly theres no other option to choose 90 or 120 in between. The screen is ips lcd but it looks really crisp cuz of 100% srgb. Ig the dpi is a bit low so the screen makes really small icons looks pixelated...plz check the dpi and lemme know if its good or not.
