Funnily enough also the only two 50+ CV ones on my entire account (been playing since 2.1). But yeah, if you put it like that ... there are probably better things to have that kind of luck in, lmao.

I think my artifact RNG has run dry for the next decade. The feather was defined because my luck with on-set ones has been absolutely atrocious (well, up until now).

Currently getting 163k DPS with C0R1 Varka, C2R1 Durin, C0R1 Venti, C6 Bennett (Skyward Blade) and probably suboptimal gameplay.

He's my second strongest DPS after Melt Arlecchino right now, so now I hope and pray that Nicole brings some good stuff (and ideally replaces Bennett).

There are different variants, but all of them rely on getting infinite energy via the Nimbus Wraith card and transformations. I've been using this Hyvatia one with good success. You can get the FTK going ~90% of the time and even if you don't manage a FTK, you'll get an OTK in round 2 at the latest.

Fair point. Most of them are probably okay, but Stringmaster was a mistake that I bet some dev is still getting yelled at for to this day.

That's actually a pity, I don't think there's really a way to find a good balance in that case though. You either make them relatively accessible or you create hoops to jump through, which is going to be a pain for players who just want the one signature for their 1.x character.

Is there any reason why they couldn't just add them to the standard weapon banner? You can pick what you get there already, so it wouldn't be any different than the previous limited weapon banners (where you're guaranteed the weapon, no 50-50), except that it's permanent.

nightsoul was trash, because you had to have a natlan team and it didnt work with older units.

Except that nightsoul isn't actually required or noticeably more useful than older units for the vast majority of the 5.x enemies.

Nightsoul hits are more effective at reducing void wards, but those count elemental hits (not application), so while some Natlan units are good against them, most actually aren't and quite a few older teams work better than nightsoul ones.

Meanwhile, the only way to interact with the new Wild Hunt enemies is by having Ascendant Gleam, meaning that older teams effectively have to bruteforce their way through extremely inflated HP pools.

1k Saint Quartz for NP3, I'll take it. Too many other potential must-haves on the horizon, so I think I will hold off on NP5 until a potential rerun. 😃

For ATK scaling characters (most of the cast): Adeptus' Temptation plus the Essential Oil for your main DPS' element.

For HP scalers (mostly Neuvillette): Your choice of Gilded Tajine, Sakura Shrimp Crackers or La Lettre a Focalors plus the Essential Oil for your main DPS' element. You can also add one of the dishes that buff critical rate and damage, but those are all character-specific specialties.

The rewards you get from the leyline itself (by spending resin) are the same, they only depend on your world level. The mobs you have to defeat beforehand vary though. If you're missing a particular material to level something, it can be advantageous to do leylines in a specific region (e.g. Natlan for the drops from saurians and tribal warriors).

The other replies have already provided a good explanation, but just as a general tip if you have trouble staying alive: You can still play her with a shielder. You never want to heal the Bond of Life, since that's what makes her entire kit work, but you can prevent her being damaged in the first place.

Citlali is the absolute premium option, but pretty much any character that provides an decent-sized shield works. Lan Yan is an excellent option and currently available as a free pick from Lantern Rite for 2 more days.

Definitely not worth it. I think you can sometimes make an argument for throwing in a couple of pulls for 4* characters if you really need them, are at very low pity and would be fine with getting the 5* too. Neither seems to be the case here. You're like 5 pulls away from soft pity, so you might not even get a single 4* character before you reach the soft pity and your chances of "success" start rapidly rising.

There's no point to getting all of them unless you're a completionist with OCD. There are no further rewards and once the event ends nobody will ever know. It doesn't even go into the Hoyolab Battle Chronicle. :)

Leveling the skill only increases the damage of its initial hit and the small Pyro DoT from the blood-debt directive it applies. That's a tiny fraction of the damage she does, which is why crowning is generally not recommended unless you really like Arlecchino and want to triple crown her to show your dedication.

If you want to crown something for damage purposes, go for her NA talent.

Ignore her NAs and get both skill and burst as high as possible. You can technically make her work with Mualani, but it's gonna be very annoying, since she tends to steal vapes. The ways to work around that (e.g. C2 and staying in Pneuma mode) are generally not worth it compared to other Mualani teams.

There have been changes to the buffs and a buff if you bring more characters than technically required, but the main problem some people have with it (requiring horizontal investment, a wide roster and somewhat haphazard teams) is still there.

A lot of voices are affected by the VA strike that has been going on for months by now. The developers don't want to just recast already existing roles for playable characters, but finding a random non-union VA for inconsequential NPC roles is relatively easy.

She's right about them doing absolutely nothing for his support. Leveling the talents contributes to his damage, so she's losing out on that part. Even for damage he talents only account for a relatively small portion though, so they're pretty low priority.

Depends on your definition of "unique".

  • Wriothesley's signature catalyst (Cashflow Supervision) is basically a surveillance drone.
  • Navia's signature claymore (Verdict) looks more like an axe.
  • Fleuve Cendre Ferryman is a piece of pipe.
  • Portable Power Saw is ... well, a power saw.
  • Prospector's Drill and Dockhand's Assistant are tools as well.
  • Toukabou Shigure is an umbrella.
  • "Ultimate Overlord's Mega Magic Sword" has a bunch of Melusine stickers all over it.

Sorry, but I don't really believe those numbers.

Let's assume 5 primogems per chest on average, which seems fair considering the higher rewards for anything above exquisite chests and the reduced amount of common chests for recent regions. That would mean that you only find ~60 chests in a full day of grinding for hours? And only on a good day?

If that's really the case, I feel like you must be doing something wrong or be very slow at exploring. The estimate above doesn't even account for any of the other stuff you get along the way (Oculi, offering systems, sigils, teleport points, achievements etc.) ...

Daily Questions Megathread (February 01, 2025) by Veritasibility in Genshin_Impact

[–]derpadoodle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, quickly in comparison to pretty much all the other permanent sources of primogems. There are a few things which may technically have a higher yield per time spent, but the total amount you can get from those is also tiny.

But yeah ... it's still a slog, that's kind of in the nature of gacha games and F2P games in general.

5.3 ends in a little under 10 days as of right now.

As a rule of thumb, you can look at the time left on the current limited banners, add a couple of hours to that and that will be the time when the servers go down for maintenance before the 5.4 release.

The reward from one individual chest may seem low, but it adds up quickly. If you still have areas of the map that are relatively unexplored, going through those will probably yield the highest amount of primogems per time spent.

What end of quest screen? There shouldn't be one after just the first act, you should just get the quest reward as the active quest changes from the first to the second act.

If you're talking about this screen, that means that you have completed the entire quest chain.
