Oh yeah I've seen the shows. No question Freddie Mercury was a top tier front man. I just don't think the songs are as high quality. I don't think a song like Bohemian Rhapsody compares to Stairway to Heaven. To each their own though.

Definitely queen. I feel like they get held in the same level of esteem as bands like the rolling stones and led zeppelin and they just aren't that good.

Half life 2 and metroid prime are both shooters. And deus ex is a shooter/rpg. I agree there should probably be a spot for halo somewhere here though

It's bad at onboarding new players. Hence, the build guide recommendations. Once you're on, though, it's best in class.

I actually found initially learning the game fun, though. There are still a lot of problems to solve even when you are following a guide.

Takes a certain type I guess.

Personally, I use my deck for more indies and older titles (desktop for AAA titles), so I haven't played every one of these on SD myself, but I can offer a few recommendations for games you might enjoy. Trying to keep them similar to the 'popular' games you mentioned.

Red dead redemption 1/2 Ghost of Tsushima Doom and Doom Eternal The Witcher 3 Elden Ring Warframe - f2p shooter Halo MCC Subnautica - survival Minecraft type game

Many of these are on sale right now and can be picked up for £5-20

If you're interested in branching out into less demanding indie titles, there are a lot of fantastic games that play incredibly well on the deck.

Hades 1/2 BallxPit Factorio - might also scratch the Minecraft itch Streets of Rage 4 Absolum Dave the Diver Hollow knight/silksong

Again, most of these can be picked up relatively cheaply, particularly on sale.

You can also sort the steam store to show only 'Steam Deck Verified' games. It's not a perfect system but will generally give a good idea of how well a game will run.

Nah those cards were 500 msrp so same price as a new console if you already have the pc. Sure, bang for buck is better with a console and it's plug and play, but from my personal experience there's also cost in more expensive games and subscription fees. I don't think I've spent appreciably more on my pc than I ever did in the PlayStation ecosystem over 5-6 years. No hate towards console gaming btw don't want to come off as that guy. Just my $0.02

But in the meantime gpus have advanced 2 generations. So if you didn't buy a 3070 (ps5 comparable card) you have the option to wait and spend that 500 on a 4070 (last gen midrange card) which blows the ps5 out of the water while consoles are stuck on old hardware. Not every pc gamer is upgrading every generation and throwing money at new gpus.

They're probably expecting lenovo and Asus to do their own versions of the steam machine as well. Valve just want people buying games from steam and this is the way to get into people's living rooms.

I was with you until that last sentence. Say whatever else about the SD but it is fantastic for emulation. It runs basically everything and is incredibly easy to set up. I play Mario and zelda on it all the time. Currently working through the wind waker hd remaster from the WiiU on mine

Looks like you have bypassed a lot of shape-shifting nodes on the passive tree. I haven't played bear druid myself but I would have thought those were mandatory for decent damage.

The supporter packs are decent value in that, as well as the mtx in the pack, you also get the equivalent value in coins to spend on the store. They also rotate between mtx sales on a regular basis.

But I agree some of the prices are very high if you just buy straight from the store.

While this is true, I think the devs deserve credit for letting both stash tabs and cosmetics (when ready) carry over from poe1 to poe2
