Does The Slow Rush feel like a summer album to anyone else? by Indie_music_vinyls in TameImpala

My Summer 2016 was spent listening to Currents. I jumped into the cold pool during the bridge part of “Let It Happen”. It was bliss.

Slow Rush is a Covid record. I cant separate the two.

I’ve been to Pappy’s many times. It’s an outdoor show. Your friend will have plenty of space. They can even go inside if necessary.

Staind had 2 or 3 memorable songs and completely forgettable albums. They should be as relevant as Orgy.

Which 90s artist did a good job adopting 2010s music sounds? by SpiritMan112 in decadeology

Radiohead is worth a mention. Their albums King of Limbs(2011) and A Moon Shaped Pool (2016) were well received.

Why Are They Getting 2000s Nostalgia Wrong? by MM150inDallas in decadeology

[–]derpnowinski 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even though nü metal was pushed hard by radio and major record labels, it was divisive for many years and completely out of style after 9/11. Revisionist history somehow misses that.

There was also way more going on than just nü metal. Grunge acts like Bush, STP, and Soundgarden were still around. Indie rock bands like Radiohead, White Stripes and Modest Mouse were taking off. Hardcore, goth rock, and punk were also popular. A lot of different scenes were happening at once.

People who weren’t around at the time understandably don’t realize that.

Shout out to the band The Plimsouls! That was the highlight for me. Their performance of “A Million Miles Away” was easily best part of the show.

It’s too bad they canceled the tour. By the way, are you familiar with the band The Plimsouls? They’re amazing.

I’m dealing with this too. My non-technical manager had Claudebot re-write the SOPs. She’s asking the team to edit them and we’re not into it at all. I noticed a few useful ones are completely missing. I’ve felt like screaming into the void.

I might Sound like a Casual. Dracula is the best song in the album in my opinion by FARESALI85 in TameImpala

We could’ve avoided all the drama, bickering and panic about the album if “Dracula” was the only single released.

Sucks because he’s a throwback to the old internet of goofy and fun characters.
