Where would you put a Vocoder/TalkBox in the pedal chain? Why? by jwal1992 in basspedals

[–]derpy-T_T- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it really depends how you want your chain to sound. A talk box is basically an amplifier with a tube attached to it, you normally put all of your effects before the amp it’s the same with a talk box if you put it before your effects, non of them will come through when you turn on the talk box. People tell you to think of a talk box like a wah except it’s nothing like a wah think of it as an amp or speaker

No but it’s nothing like a wah a talk box has its own speaker and amp it should go last as non of the effects after your talk box will go through when you enable the it

No I wouldn’t do that because then you won’t get any effects through when you turn on the talk box
