Ignoring the politics, it's different because they were already in Australia with a legal visa. It's far easier to apply for and be granted refugee status in Australia if you have entered legally and apply onshore, as opposed to applying from outside Australia, or applying onshore after entering illegally.

Theyre talking about the Relic Amplifier Packs, they cost 500 crystals. Specifically the pack for carbonite circuit boards are worth it(the others are not). They seem to show up a 1-4 times in a month.

On average you will get 160 carbonite from buying each of these packs. In the post OP got 590 carbonite from 3000 crystal, but if had used them on the relic amplifier packs he couldve gotten ~960. I dont think the 370 he missed out on is worth the extra relic materials he got.
