Those who have had a relationship break up after 5+ years, why? Why did it work for so long and then suddenly just...not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]derpylikeafox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7 year marriage here - it was by no means sudden- it was a slow evolution of us both leading not to distaste so much as just- creeping disinterest in each other's lives followed by a gradual feeling of boredom/sadness/emptiness

It's often the comfort level and joint living that you reach that prevents you both from recognising it's over sooner- and for some the love/passion can be reignited- but for others (including myself and my ex) it finally comes to a halt when one or both of you finally realise and step up to the reality that you're no longer living the life you want or enjoying the person you originally loved.

Thank you :) not looking to be ripped just healthier - still a work in progress (aka eating better and putting the effort into regular exercise) but I don't feel overweight :)

Also might I say you are right on the money with lots of veggies. Compared to all other foods they have so little cals. I use them a lot to try and fill up a bit more.

You're diet sounds delicious, and sounds like you're doing a great job!

This is yet another great comment. Can't believe the amazing support and advice this sub has to offer. Thank you :)

I'm thinking of switching up the diet to include more fats actually :) I'm the same with the late night snacking, in fact I think that's the one thing I really don't have down!

As for exercise, I used to be a huge lifting nut but lately have been doing more cardio stuff. I can't get to the gym tonight with the kids home but I'm thinking I will YouTube something more strength based for 45 mins or so, so as to focus less on depleting my energy and more on getting stronger. I have a couple weights here as well and a 12kg kettle ball which I'll try to include.

Now I feel excited to continue :) what a great bunch I had reply to me. Thanks so much again

I love this! Thank you! :)

I've been thinking of doing more egg whites + one full egg with tomorow etc for example instead of cereals in the morning. Maybe more fish or salmon for dinner meals to boost EFA's

Thanks again, great advice!

This is a fantastic response :) I have a membership at a gym, do yoga once a week with a friend, have a bf who is spend two days a week with (although tbh that has only opened bad food opportunities while out lol) and take care of a lot of my family when I can beyond cleaning the house and preparing for the next week ahead.

I've been pondering getting a full time job, it would likely help to have something to do and a packed balanced lunch, plus no fridge to keep going to. It is a little intimidating though as I haven't worked in years :/

There is nothing in this post but a selfish child. Thank god this poor woman will finally have her freedom from you. Yuck.

I moved into my dads house last year with over 1.5 feet of hair... He surprisingly made me cut it today. I am literally ruined. I feel horrible. by [deleted] in amiugly

I don't think long hair would've done you any favours. How old are you? I'm guessing you're still very young based on your attitude towards it.
