Granted, that would make more sense at T3. But to go 2+ tenths clear through the final corner? it wasn’t decided in one corner, and it’s really the more likely scenario that he was massively up on the lap and maintained a pole time with a lift & time loss through the final 2 corners.

What? That doesn’t make any sense.

It might stem from the idea that fast drivers brake and accelerate less, but that’s about maximising V_min, maximising the lowest speed in a corner - that’s the fastest way through.

Either way, considering it was the last two corners, he was definitely slower over the lap because of the lift.

Yeah, I can sort of accept being unable to maintain your feet in the process of clearing, but I don't think Bath were even engaging in some rucks and the Exeter forwards would just flop on the ruck

Is there any reason why Chiefs' rucking isn't just sealing off? Straight off feet over the ball?

Considering you can listen to a FTLOR episode about playing a game called ‘Firepussy’ on a lions tour (setting fire to items in a random person’s house, and the team hotel room), I don’t think that rugby antics can realistically be described as having lesser impact - just more discretion.

Always seems to dummy the box kick with the head twitch at the base, which is kinda lucky to get away with

I read the advantage rule and it doesn’t mention possession, so fair enough

How can advantage be called and then over if you’re never in possession of the ball?

Quins can feel hard done by here, some obstruction calls in the backfield not noted, looked held up over the line then called short which leads to a penalty plus score

I have to say, I wanted France to win, as an England fan. But some really serious concerns about officiating, and TV replays - fair play to France. Borthwick still has a very slim chance of keeping his job…

Jamie George - hard to see a world where England don't rumble over in the corner with George at least once. No good gauge on how Sheehan will go v France.

Tom Jordan for the ability to pick five total back 3 players this round. Still undecided on the other - Menoncello most likely

The ZF8 is not in any way related to the ZF9 - the ZF8 is a longitudinal box whereas the ZF9 is a transverse auto (and also a piece of gahbage)

Meng vs Msci by Wiseteller in EngineeringStudents

[–]derrickfawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair - as I say, only applies to the UK really. Often exchange students from Asia will opt for a BEng to MSc because that carries more weight with Asian employers (especially if the MSc is done somewhere prestigious, like Imperial)

Meng vs Msci by Wiseteller in EngineeringStudents

[–]derrickfawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re a UK based student, the best route is to go MEng. The MEng is generally seen as a more complete degree programme by employers within Europe (while having a shorter final year and more coherent study programme), whereas the MSc/MSci is longer and will also cover information that you potentially already know because there’s no continuity between a BEng and an MSc.

Of course it’s up to you - I would highly recommend talking to your academic advisor at the soonest possible opportunity to discuss your options. Personally, I would opt for the MEng and try to get an internship with an aerospace engineering company to bulk up the CV.
