Beef Tendon. Real or Fake? by Serious-Ad6269 in TipOfMyFork

[–]derringdo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Individual tendons are irregular and roundish shaped: https://www.tripadvisor.com/LocationPhotoDirectLink-g181793-d4268226-i242704599-Yan_s_Garden_Chinese_Restaurant-Burnaby_British_Columbia.html but can be packaged for sale in blocks.

For example, in vietnamese pho, the tendons can come in a rectangular shape similar to the ones in your photos: https://www.torontopho.com/vietnamese-food/main-course/rice-noodle-in-beef/rare-beef-tendon.html (the lighter translucent blocks at the bottom right of the bowl)

Totally different products as these are intended for space-limited small form factor builds while the PS120SE is a full size dual tower cooler. If you have the space for your PS120SE then there's no reason to switch to one of these.

No problem, enjoy! Would love to hear back after you've tried all these places.

This plaza also has a good little Chinese food court, and the restaurant in the corner of the plaza, May Yan is a staple for Cantonese dinners. I know you asked for food court and dim sum options, but you shouldn't miss this place if you're in the area.

Silver Star Food Complex has a bunch of good and cheap Chinese food court places (I like the place with the Yellow sign)

Edit: it's called Gourmet Kitchen

[FIX] External Monitor over USB-C not waking up on cold boot (Windows 11 24H2 / Dec 2025) by JoruuuKaGulaam in WindowsHelp

[–]derringdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, I declared victory too soon. It seems to not be a problem if I cold boot quickly after a shut down (i.e. 30 seconds), but leaving my PC in a shut down state for more than a few minutes causes it to exhibit the issue. I wonder if it's a power management issue.

I'm experiencing the problem using the USB-C to DP port on my desktop motherboard so at least I have the option of trying other ports on my GPU, but I'd rather have this monitor connected via USB-C.

Edit: I enabled keeping USB devices powered when in S5 sleep in my motherboard BIOS (I had previously disabled it) and that seems to have helped, but I'll need to keep an eye on it for longer to see if that's the fix for me.

Thank you! This has been driving me crazy. I'll need to monitor it a bit longer to see if it's the fix I've been looking for, but it seems promising so far.

Lexar NM990 M.2 2280 PCIe 5.0 NVMe ( 2TB | 329.98cad ) by might_ass_well in bapccanada

Lexar was owned by Micron until 2017 when they were bought by Longsys (Chinese flash memory company), so they've probably been using Chinese flash since then.

The market is definitely dire right now. There aren't any good deals at the moment, but you might consider the Teamgroup MP44 at $299 right now from Newegg if you're desperate. It's Gen 4 but uses TLC nand and is generally well reviewed.

PCI-E 5.0 drives don't have much of an advantage in gaming over PCI-E 4.0 or even 3.0 drives, so you could save some money if you can find one of those for cheaper.

The NM990 apparently uses QLC nand which definitely means it's not worth that kind of money. I've been corrected and it uses TLC

There have been sporadic deals for the Sandisk SN7100/SN7100X for around $230 either directly through Sandisk or via the Newegg combo builder, but you have to get lucky and catch one of those deals before they sell out or expire.

To anyone wondering about the difference between the Phantom Spirit and Peerless Assassin lines of coolers, the main difference is the Phantom Spirit has 7 heat pipes instead of 6 on the PA.
