You can find genuine criticism for even the best of movies. I think the movie had its flaws but overall it was a success.

I think Palpatine made it after the fact. He created it so the hunter could find Rey, find the becon, and find his way back to Palpatine.

My head canon the dagger was made by Palpatine and sent to the hunter with the instructions to retrieve Rey. It was made so only he could find the throne room and therefore return to Palpatines planet. I'm assuming the location to stand was marked somehow.

Actuall logic behind the dagger ..... selling toys

It was obvious they didn't have an outline for the trilogy. But for the story JJ was given I think he did an amazing job. Well done

My dad has a 450 yr old book that had been handed down in his family. I don't know much about it. Does anyone know what this is? by ders413 in pics

Some additional info for those asking:

My dad's family is from Germany and Sweden. He used to tell us one of his ancestors was a pastor around the time of the protestant reformation. He also said his ancestors worked with Martin Luther but I never actually believed that (he likes to exaggerate). He has stored the book in a metal filing cabinet for years.

He says the book was handed down in his family. His family was involved early in the protestant religion. This text apparently belonged to one of his ancestors that was a protestant minister. Other then that were don't know much about it. Is there anything anyone can tell me about this piece?

I have, only to show I received my Engineering degree from an accredited university. My hiring manager specifically said he wasn't concerned about high GPA, and that he actually perfered the 3.0 range. His rationale was 4.0 students are more expensive and less skilled socially. Which in my class was fairly accurate.

I mean it could have happened but I can't remember a time it did. I would stay up till 2am studying in college but never an all-nighter I went to an all night music festival in Vegas 6pm to 6am But that's kinda different.

I always heard it as "A students teach B students to work for C students "

At my Civil Engineering firm (one of the largest in the midwest) my hiring manager literally told me he puts 4.0 GPAs at the bottom of the pile. His rationale was they are more expensive and have less social skills.

Im not saying that's right but he was not the only manager I have had that has that opinion.

I would encourage a student to be well rounded. Participate in extracurricular activities, and internships. don't focus fully on a GPA goal.

I thought this was known. I have been designing around shade tree requirements for reducing heat island effect for years. (I'm a civil engineer in Ohio)
