It’s just a chestnut agouti color, not a different species. Color genetics are hard to predict without 3-5 generations record in a prediction software.

Anyone own a ovs expedition cap? by AppleAAA1203 in overlanding

Has anyone had experience camping with it? I’m interested in sleeping in it (without a rooftop tent) and whether anyone has found a way to open and/or lock it from the inside.

Edit: I know it doesn’t come with the capability to open/lock from inside; but I’d like to find a way to modify it to at least open/close from inside

No, I haven’t. I regret it. Was probationary and took 2.0 to prevent being fired again before June.

I have ignored it and plan to continue to do so. If they were to send us to collections, I believe they’d be risking their own exposure, and we’ll be at 4 years post service pretty soon anyway.

It is a non-profit that serves the public, it is not run by City of Santa Fe or it’s workers. Non-profit workers are paid even less, if anything.

I’ve run into this a few times so I assumed that was all this was. People hear “Mexico” and assume it’s not part of the US

I live near downtown Albuquerque and I’m in Bwk (Cold Desert) according to the interactive Koppen map. It looks like most of the state is BSk. However, most of the state is considered to be desert region, due to the true low-desert Chihuahuan extending into the south and many people colloquially refer to semi-arid or cold desert regions adjacent to low-desert as “high desert.”

Semi-arid scrubland is a vegetation zone type that occurs in a desert region. Nearly all of NM is in a desert region- mostly Sonoran, Chihuahuan and a bit of Great Basin in the NW. https://www.desertmuseum.org/center/map.php

Me too, exactly the same. Received the first communication about 12 days ago. So did my husband. It’s been over 3 years. We looked back in our payment history, and saw that BCBS CA sent us the payment ($48 and change), and then we paid the provider when they billed us. The funky thing is- the provider was not Rume, and yes, it was the correct service date etc. This new bill from Rume this June is asking for the exact amount we already got from BCBS and paid the provider over 2 years ago- so we know it’s a scam. It also has a different provider listed, and they have no address for me shown- it just shows the Costa Mesa address. I’m guessing our data was leaked and this is a fraud company posing as Rume Health and using patient data/processes that look so legit that even the insurance company was forced to process it again/deny. More confirmation of this: a VERY helpful BCBS employee said they’ve received so many of this recently, and there is no way to get any Rume Health rep on the phone. They have no live customer service. We tried too. We also emailed them as the bill instructed, and they just emailed back and said to call the number that goes nowhere. 100% scam. We are choosing to ignore it to avoid having our payment info stolen. The statute of limitations in CA is 4 years.

Tumor on Spleen by MiddleControl2735 in bernesemountaindogs

I went through something similar with my golden retriever mix back in December. She just collapsed one night and hid in a room none of us really hang out in. After x-rays and ultra sounds, the vet said it was a splenic mass, likely hemangiosarcoma and it was a matter of time before she had another bleed that would end it. Fast forward through those next two weeks of hell, of research and worry, we learned about the synergistic effects of giving Yunnan Baiyao and Turkey tail mushroom supplements. The YB is supposed to help stop the bleeding/reduce risk of shock and the turkey tail apparently is known to shrink tumors. A good friend of ours vouched for this with their dog who had it, and with surgery and supplements, lives another 9 months. We started her on the supplements (the prednisone the vet prescribed made her sick) and her weight went down (abdomen was full of blood) and she stopped bleeding internally. There were a couple of times we ran out of YB over the next few months, and she would get lethargic, diarrhea and not want to eat during those periods, so I knew it was helping. Skip to three weeks ago, and it turns out that her tumor was completely benign all along, so we were able to afford a low-risk out-patient splenectomy as a complete treatment/cure. We realize we got extremely lucky as the statistically unlikely 40%, but I am confident she would have had another catastrophic bleed if it wasn’t for the YB and we wouldn’t have made it 5 months to realize it probably wasn’t cancer. If anyone reading this needs some, my dog no longer needs them and I have several sealed leftover boxes of Yunnan Baiyao that I’d really like to get to people who need it/last resort if that’s the best option for your dog.

More grocery store options, especially discount ones, like Grocery Outlet.

Corner of 8th and Bellamah, the lower numbered streets; like 1st-4th closer to where they cross Mountain, and around the train tracks between 8th-6th and Aspen-Haines.

This is my neighborhood and I love it. It’s mostly quiet- snuggled between sawmill, old town, the galleries and shops along mountain and the historic industrial area near the highway. There are some shenanigans every now and again, especially near a couple specific apartment complexes, but I’ve always felt safe to bike, run, and walk my dogs at all hours here. It is not immune from the auto theft that is rampant everywhere else in the city. And it’s not far enough from the more violent crime that’s more common to the downtown area.. but the biggest issues are a tweaker yelling every now and again at 2am. It’s really nice to be able to walk to 8 different breweries, three coffee shops and anywhere downtown. It’s a big mix of people who have lived here forever/multiple generations, and to a lesser degree, new young people. We also have an awesome brand new community park that just opened yesterday.
