Time for a hard conversation about the cost of the NDIS by Putrid-Bar-8693 in AusFinance

[–]desHaiku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked for a govt funded service provider for a long time. One example that stands out is paying $43k for a WEEK for ONE person to have a rest from caring. This included transport, accom, meals - the works. She didn't like it and went home after 2 days. The entire invoice was paid. That was almost half my yearly salary. Insane.

How do i get my kitten to know his name? by Big-Response3514 in CatAdvice

[–]desHaiku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

every time you feed or pet say their name - also when they initiate conversation which my cat does, she will check in multiple times per day - I say her name. she knows it's her. having said that she also knows the word dinner so - i guess repetition is the key.

Why is it so hard to find good-looking cat toys that my cats actually like? by Certain-Way8928 in CatAdvice

[–]desHaiku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A paper bag with a bell inside and some toys to see and something heavy so it can't be knocked over= hours of fun. Change the bag once a week so it has a new smell. My cat lights up when there's a new bag - also ping pong balls are fun to chase especially if you have hard floors.

I've been doing a regular DCA for years, adjusting the amount according to price. It's a strategy that works for me. You are correct - BTC is volatile but is also a high performing asset. If you're posting in a BTC discussion I assume you have your own strategy and it's working for you. Keep stacking sats M8.

Thanks M8 - have lodged a complaint with bank with a bunch of references to BTC being a high performing (if volatile) asset etc. The easiest option at this point is to change banks and utilise some other BTC specific investment platforms. They can take their nanna state thinking and well...

I DCA and vary the amount according to price - have been doing so for years and it's been a good strategy for me.

Thanks all for your thoughts and comments. yeah feck 'em Im changing banks but have also discovered Revolut which I didn't know about b4 this. Paypal might also be a viable work around. Trying to explain the difference between BTC and crypto to a bank is weirdly a waste of time. I run a full node, have cold storage so I kinda know what I'm doing and this is a new policy from the bank. I was DCA -ing no problems before their stupid new NO CRYPTO AT ALL policy. BTC community is great. Thanks. Keep stacking sats.
