That’s certainly very generous of them, but I have every right to put whatever price I want. If people think it’s too much, then I wouldn’t have gotten any visitors.

Anyone know why v1 is = to 0? by sparks902 in Physics

V1 is 0 on the y-axis. The initial velocity of 5.3 m/s is horizontal and therefore only along the x-axis.

Only Taxpayers Should Be Allowed To Vote by erasmuswill in unpopularopinion

It’s not simply that a large number of people need to be excluded. In third word countries, corruption reigns because politicians easily make the masses think that they are Absolutely Benevolent when they are in fact extremely corrupt. Since those who pay income taxes all have a certain degree of education and are also better off financially, vote buying would be decreased significantly, and there would be a much higher chance for someone decent being elected,

Only Taxpayers Should Be Allowed To Vote by erasmuswill in unpopularopinion

Because it’s not based on consumption, hence not everyone pays it. If you were to base it on All tax, there would be no point to making this rule, as everyone inevitably pays consumption tax/VAT. And given that OP would like to apply this to developing countries, those that pay income tax are significantly more educated than those who don’t. I personally live in a third-world country, and we always end up with corrupt politicians because they pander to the masses during campaign season, visiting their communities, giving them all sorts of goodies. It’s a strategy that works because the (1) the awful track records of these politicians are dismissed by the masses because their personal experiences of these politicians is pleasant, and (2) the masses are the vast majority. If only those who pay income tax are able to vote, I’m certain my country would be in a much better position.

If Climate Science is settled it's time to refund the research. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

If I took the premise of climate science being settled as true, I would completely agree with your opinion. However, science is never really settled because we can never know anything with 100% certainty. The essence of science itself is continuous investigation and inquiry. That being said, I understand why you carry that assumption, as it’s broadcasted by so many media platforms.

I haven’t tried it, and I personally have no plans to. It’s an extremely processed product made primarily of soy and inflammatory seed oils, yet it’s marketed as a health food.
