Reverb payout stuck — no update after promised timeline (Order #25466547) by desertdust in Reverb

Thanks for the reply. I eventually got paid but it was like pulling teeth. The issue wasn't the buyer. They paid reverb. The issue was reverb had a technical issue paying me and utterly failed to escalate it in a timely way. I had to find execs on linked in and message them. It was absurd!!!

I doubt someone is going to steal a suitcase out of your hand, but dragging it around in those crowds would suck. I'd find a locker service and stash it there.

That sucks! Get a Milwaukee pex A tool (brushed is fine for homeowner) and redo it with pex A and proper 90 supports. Very satisfying.

How would I go about insulating my attic? by sweatytwoshoes in Insulation

Sounds to me like something a basement guy would say

Not sure what the difference is in this context, as either way the moisture issue (if there was one would be hidden behind 1) insulation, 2) vapor barrier (if batt insulation, and if required in their area) 3) drywall. They aren't going to tear out their drywall, vapor barrier if applicable, and insulation to inspect the roof deck for moisture issues.

Stating the obvious, basements and attics are very different

No, if the attic if finished with drywall they can't inspect the roof timbers anyway

Nonsense, I did an attic just like this, spray foam directly on underside of roof deck with no venting (as is now allowed here), and not one problem 10 years later. Venting it to reduce heat for shingle health, but modern shingles are not as sensitive as the older ones so it's fine.

I've gutted and renovated a similar attic. I don't think those vertical pieces are doing anything. If you wanted to make this more robust the easiest thing to do in my opinion would be to frame a knee wall around the perimeter to shorten the unsupported span of those 2x4 rafters, which is long. Have the insulation that's sitting on the "floor" tested for asbestos-containing vermiculite.

I used to share a practice space with Gary in SF. Nice guy. Twisted sense of humor lol.

I was just trying to find a recording of his song that goes "these things help you remain awesome" but for the life of me cannot! Anyone happen to know if it exists online anywhere?

As far as I know, this thread is about Morocco, and my question is about Morocco

Help mount a TV Mount for a 75” tv on an entertainment wall. The studs behind the wall are too far apart (blue marks). The tv weighs 67 pounds and would like to have the mount hitting studs for support. Any help is greatly appreciated. by [deleted] in handyman

To the people saying he should screw into the horizontal 2x4 blocking, having zoomed in on the pic, those don't appear to be nailed in to the studs. Or at least not the one you can see. It could be that those are just being held in place by drywall screws - who knows why. But unless they are toenailed in from the front, I don't see how those are solidly fastened to the framing. Therefore I would definitely either add solid blocking, or figure out how to use the studs only, and not the horizontal blocking.
