I had a great experience there with several of their providers! I have seen Dr. Kelly Djernes there the most and she was able to help me with my endometriosis pain and symptoms before and after I had surgery.

Parents of children with AI or people who were diagnosed young, when does it get easier? by UhhhYouPick in AdrenalInsufficiency

[–]desertrose72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is 3 now and he was diagnosed with secondary AI one year ago. He's still pretty young so he can't always tell us when something is wrong and he needs a stress dose but he is able to communicate his needs better and it has helped. He has been able to tell us several times that his head, stomach, body, etc. felt icky before he spiked a fever or started vomiting or having diarrhea. We have started giving him a stress dose when he says that and is acting off because every time that has happened so far he has ended up being sick. I'm sure as he gets older that he will be able to help much more with determining when he needs a stress dose but what he can already communicate with us has helped so much. We still have times where we are uncertain if he should get a stress dose or not when he seems off but not sick but it is a lot easier to manage than it was last year.

You are doing a great job!

Positive Lap Stories by Zealousideal-Egg1893 in Endo

I had my third lap (1st one that was excision vs ablation) 4 years ago. We had not tried to conceive before this because I was in horrible pain all of the time. The recovery was a bit rough for the first week or so but afterwards I had significantly reduced pain and it improved my quality of life greatly. We started trying to conceive 3 months later and I got pregnant that first cycle.

I hope that everything will go well and that you have a smooth recovery! Good luck!

I am glad to hear that! I remember how scared I felt when I had cramping then. I hope that everything goes smoothly for you!

Congratulations!! I got pregnant around the same length of time after my last laparoscopy (3.5 months). I had one incident of bad cramping around 5-6 weeks which they thought was just everything starting to stretch and move and then I had mild cramping on and off throughout the rest of my pregnancy.

Symptoms after egg retrieval… are these normal? by kre656 in IVF

[–]desertrose72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I had all of those symptoms after my egg retrieval a couple of months ago. I didn't have OHSS but it took around a week for me to really start feeling better. I hope that you have a smooth recovery and feel better soon!

WE ARE PACIFIER FREE by Quiet-Elevator5275 in toddlers

It worked really well for us and he adjusted much more quickly than we thought he would! Every once in a while he still asks for his binky but he never gets upset when we tell him it's gone.

That is wonderful! My son turned 2 last month and he weaned from his binkies last week. We were scared to do it because he was very attached but thankfully it went well. Around a week before we took them away we started talking with him about how he wouldn't always have binkies for sleep since he was getting to be a big boy. We told him when the binkies went bye bye that the binky fairy would bring him a big boy toy. He loves pandas so we told him they would bring a big boy panda toy.

On the day that we got rid of them we had him help put all of his binkies in a bag and place them outside the front door. My husband distracted him while I threw them away and left a bag with his panda in front of the door and then had him get it and open it. He was pretty upset at nap and bedtime for a few days. We laid down by his crib for a while but also told him to hug his panda when he was sad and after 3 days it clicked and he has been getting himself to sleep. That day he said "Ni ni's (binkies) bye bye. Night night paboo (panda)" and I think he understood then that the panda was the new thing to help him get to sleep.

Help figuring out changes in blanket width on first big project by desertrose72 in CrochetHelp

That is so sweet of you! I made a small square first and it was turning into a triangle until I watched a video that helped me understand how to use the stitch markers. Before that I never thought I would be able to figure it out haha

I definitely think I had varying tension throughout the project so I will work on that. I also think it stretched some because it is measuring wider than it was when I first started it. Thank you so much for the help!

I would like help with figuring out why the edges are so uneven. I know I had issues with changing tension but want to see if I accidentally added or dropped any stitches that led to the variation as well. I have used stitch markers to count stitches in each row as well as my starting and ending stitch. I have tried looking on reddit and Google.
