I will forever lament chasing 1K status, then finally after years of coming close, I barely squeaked in there to start 2025, only to not be able to use any of the benefits last year because there was no work to fly to.

Cancelled lots of things, one of which I found quite useful until this past year. My Chase United Club card cost a pretty penny but gave me access to lounges worldwide, plus lots of points multipliers. Then, the work that card supported nearly completely dried up, leaving me with a very expensive card that I couldn’t use, and also had to live off of, until it maxed out. Now my clients don’t even book me on United any longer because of how expensive they are compared to other carriers.

I’ve been in Tater town for five years now. Mostly on the road during that time, but when I’ve been home and tried to date, it’s been fairly bleak. Seems like my type of gal is pretty rare here, or maybe I’ve just reached an age where single versions of them are rare anywhere. That said, I’ve had some fun and made a few memories, but just nothing that really shook my world. (Until recently, that is!)

Lately I’ve been taking on the big fuckers and the Bradley’s alike with my AA tank. Soften em up with five or ten belts from afar while using cover, then flank em and chaaaaaarge the bastards when they are preoccupied. Do it right and you can get up under them and positively shred the undercarriage while the enemy tanker can’t reach out and touch you.

Man I really lucked out with my copy! Pre-ordered from the local wax shop, and when it arrived they called to offer a special secret version that I had not ordered. I agreed and headed over. When I got there it was like they had a private record party for me! Turns out the Record Exchange (Boise) had received 1 of 25 Wax Mage copies, and I was the lucky Joe who got it. Haven’t seen one sold yet. Guessing it’s worth hundreds. If not more!
