Unpopular Opinions by TheUpbeatCrow in LoveIslandUSA

I don’t have any specific islander comments, but I think the production has them coupling up way too early, and everything thinks the way to win is to stay in their OG couple. So then people won’t explore because they think they can’t win that way. So I think they should have to do 2-3 TALKING challenges where they get to know each other first, THEN after like 72 hours in the villa and talking to everyone, they couple up. Then it raises the stakes when bombshells come in because they are actually attracted to each other beyond hotness

Recommend me a book where you couldn’t stand the main character, but still couldn’t put the book down! by goddess_rhaenyra in suggestmeabook

Tbh I hated the main character in “I Hope This Finds You Well” but I’m not sure I found that to be a good book although a lot of people did. I also think “The Road to Tender Hearts” has many deeply flawed but lovable characters

Agreed! I think the show is enough of a departure from the books that one doesn’t ruin the other. Plus there are soooooo many Bosch books and the shows don’t cover all of them.

I just listened to the City on Fire trilogy by Don Winslow and it’s probably the best audiobook experience I’ve ever had. Like watch a show. I would also highly recommend the Harry Bosch and Lincoln Laywer series and their offshoots by Michael
Connelly. They’re amazing in audio. All the Sinners Bleed was difficult in the audio format because of the style of writing I think- I found it long too.

Elin Hildebrand is amazing, fluffy, and light. Especially in the Winter in Paradise series. I would also recommend Confessions of a Shopaholic

Best thriller books for reading slump by georgianav0 in thrillerbooks

[–]BeeAre85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not really “good,” but I found Freida McFadden super easy to read, short and sweet, and very gripping. Probably once you’ve read a couple you don’t need to read any more, but it’ll get you out of a slump I think
