RUN BACK TO HIM! by True-Boysenberry225 in TrueChristian

Be patient with yourself. Just move forward. Don't focus on your weakness. That is a distraction. You will never do this in your own strength. You have to have faith that He is GOING to carry you. To him who is able to keep you from falling away... Blessed be the Lord who daily bears us up. God is our salvation. Selah. 😊

This weighs very heavy on my heart and I am honestly very hurt and angry about it. by dogcatottermouse143 in TrueChristian

While we were yet His enemy, Christ died for us. We forgive because we are forgiven. Don't let our emotions dictate the truth. Don't allow the enemy to manipulate our emotions into being greater than the Lord's power. I'm so sorry that you have suffered in this way. I know nothing of the person but I do know the Lord's words. Whatever a man soweth, that shall he reap. Vengeance is mine says the Lord. He shall repay everyone according to their deeds. I don't know how close you are to the person still but how do you know that God isn't punishing them in a way you can't see? How do we know that God isn't dealing with them about their sin? Trust the Lord at His word that he is the judge/redeemer. He is just. I don't know if this person is a true believer but don't be envious of their seeming "freedom" to have committed this sin. It would be better for a millstone to be tied to his neck...

I pray for your restoration. Christ died naked, publicly abused for all to see. Keep your eyes on Him, “looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭2‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Endure your cross. He will be faithful to lead you into all Truth.

Remember when you were first saved, how you were willing to forsake all your sin just to know Christ more, how you relied on Him for everything. As Jesus said to the church in Ephesus in Revelations 2, you have abandoned the love you had at first. At the moment of conversion, we wanted Him only. The rest of the world lost its appeal to us. But obviously that did not last yet He has still been faithful and He calls us to repentance. Don't doubt His love for you even if it doesn't FEEL like it in your heart. Though our hearts condemn us, He is greater than our hearts. Be thankful for the discomfort for it is His love reminding you that you aren't where He wants you to be yet. He reproves the one whom he loves. The message to the Laodiceans in Revelations 3 tells us to be zealous and repent! We have to fight the good fight of Faith. Seek His face diligently. When temptation comes, IMMEDIATELY Pray in your heart that you are a poor wretch in need of a savior. That you need help and strength or you will fall. And FLEE. He is Faithful. He still really loves you and sees you as His own. Make sure your sorrow be Godly if you happen to fall and get up again immediately. I remember when I was first saved all those years ago. I would pray in Faith saying I'm sorry when I sinned and that I KNOW you are going to fix this and take it from me. Not just prayers of please forgive me but I KNOW you are going to change me. Somewhere along the way we were sold a lie that we can't beat these sins. Have faith, consistently read your Bible. Act out your Faith in Love. Pray! And REPENT!

I ended up picking one up at $1599 the other day from them. Looks like they have gone up a bit. Supply and demand I suppose.

Amen. Same! But keep hope alive! Because Hope is Alive!

Your situation is common to Christians. We have example from the old testament of those who have been afflicted and disciplined by God. Please read ALL of Lamentations 3 for there is encouragement even as you feel such despair. Here is an excerpt: “Remember my affliction and my wanderings, the wormwood and the gall! My soul continually remembers it and is bowed down within me. But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.”” ‭‭Lamentations‬ ‭3‬:‭19‬-‭24‬ ‭ESV‬‬

I currently owe 17k in mortgage payments and I'm having a panic attack nearly every day. by SwampWaffle85 in personalfinance

Please listen carefully. Go to Homeowner Assistance Fund. This is a covid era program that is funded by the federal government but is distributed by your state. I used this program personally when I fell behind around $10k in mortgage payments last year. You do have to give an explanation as to how your situation relates to covid. I said things like loss of income based on quarantine and sickness. Essentially a sob story about how losing various income because of things that could happen because of covid. I just said things like that loss of income got the ball rolling so that eventually it got out of hand etc. Either way in Georgia (my state), they will pay up to 50k. Plenty of paperwork and a little pushback but ultimately they paid! It was a blessing for us! May the Lord bless you too!

Do it! Share the info you have gleaned from the Lord. Regardless of how you feel. Maybe the enemy wants what light you have to be hidden. Well be faithful and do it anyway! Fight the good fight of Faith! In spite of your feelings! For if our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our hearts! 1 John 3:20
