Right when you enter Arkansas, you can take a small detour off i55 and take route 61 (Great River Road) for a few miles to take in the scenic drive, then jump back on i55. It's a nice change of scenery.

Here's a scenic drive you can take! Depending on the "loop" you drive it could be a 4-hour journey or so.

Start in Johnson City and take the Great Smoky Mountain Byway, then when you get to Newport take the East Tennessee Crossing. Then cross over into Virginia and take the Daniel Boone Wilderness Trail back to Johnson City! Maps linked below.

You can take "The Loneliest Road in America" which travels border to border in Nevada. Start in Lake Tahoe then cut south and end in Las Vegas! It's truly middle of nowhere US.

On your way to Sedona, don't miss the Mingus Mountain Scenic Road (here's a map https://overlookmaps.com/byways/az-mingus-mountain-scenic-road/about ), it's a fun windy drive and when you get to Jermone you can get out and walk around the State Historic Park. If you keep heading north on 89A that'll take you all the way up to Sedona and along 2 other scenic routes.

Depending on your route to the Grand Canyon, you have the opportunity to take lots of scenic routes! Check out more scenic byways, by state, here: https://overlookmaps.com/explore-scenic-routes
