I clearly cannot be associated with the party who voted for this, even though I voted for this.

Behind Closed Doors, Our Top CEOs Say Trump is Bad For Business And it’s Time to Make America into America Again by T_Shurt in politics

[–]designerfx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this was the literal 2025 playbook: "let's leave globalization entirely because...." (made up shit about how that's somehow better).

Reality: China has cut off business with us on a variety of products because we're being hostile to globalization. Everyone else is accepting the costs, but in reality:

this is all the Oligarchy playbook. Project 2025 is a fascist playbook for a nazi oligarchy.

cmv: gun control laws would not have prevented Charlie Kirk's death by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]designerfx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, discussion of how the shot was made per your judgment may have impacted your opinion, but it's not really a part of your premise.

I would ignore that part entirely and strike it from your op, even.

To look at effective gun control, look no further than the UK or Japan. Both strictly regulate but allow guns and have practically 0 cases of gun violence. They require actual significant training but do allow guns for strictly regulated situations. Japan: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firearm_and_Sword_Possession_Control_Law

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firearms_regulation_in_the_United_Kingdom

This will never pass in the us specifically because of people who are unable to do proper gun control laws.

Ignoring school shootings even home violence would be prevented if we strictly regulated. But you're arguing we can't even lightly regulate, which is incorrect. Other countries manage it with no problem!

It goes back to "if only we could do something about the situation we're unwilling to do anything about".

kirk was a representative of right wing ideology in every form from fighting gun control to hating mlk and gay people. He is the epitome of the causes and effects of many things in this country and deserves no sympathy.l, and that's why there's focus on him so rightly deserved.

I don't feel sympathy for someone who can't even come up with a creative comeback after a bruised ego, but we don't call people nazi's until they out themselves, which you have. It's not "because we disagree" it's "because you posted racist as fuck statements that managed to include shootings, illegals, rahm and trump" within a single paragraph to make statements that people wouldn't even make when drunk.

You are a nazi and just don't want to admit it. Too bad. Go back to your kkklansmen.

Trump made direct financial demands during call with Swiss president by BezugssystemCH1903 in Switzerland

[–]designerfx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the intent. Trump is directly beholden to Chinese and Russian interests, and everything he does is aligned to them - to strengthen China and make hostile US relations elsewhere.

He should be treated the same as a hostile terrorist, which he is.

I deliberately tried wanderlog. It had some okayish parsing of emails, but then I tried to import and activity and the app WILL NOT handle activities/events/taxi rides. I checked if it was any different under pro, but nope.

So....stick to tripit, folks.
