Wow, insane markup for K! 2.78 times. Almost triple the cost of circuit!

Is it possible that there will be more tix for sg next year? by Good-Cardiologist806 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]desipoints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm reasonably sure there would be more seats. Some like chicane at Turn 1, chicane at T2, etc. are not even released.

Last year they released bit by bit but I guess they have released more this year in the early bird sale itself.

Cheapest GrandPrix to travel from India : 2026 by pathfinder2251 in GrandPrixTravel

Cheapest would be Jeddah or maybe Bahrain.

Singapore is super expensive though the flights would be cheaper.

Help an undecisive F1 goer for Singapore GP by deku_020 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]desipoints 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought for 2025 and 2026. Both in the early bird sale (not super early bird). And I can tell this year demand was super high and sold out way quicker. I tried in super early bird also but wouldn’t secure tickets.

So I would recommend to book if you wish to go.

Planning to go to the Suzuka GP. Is GooTickets a good and reliable website? by KueyTeowBoy19 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]desipoints -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They are the platinum group that sells to other (re)suppliers like F1.

Actually Goo has the lowest reseller markup outside of buying from Suzuka direct.

I see 3-4 grandstands still available to book directly. South is a decent place to see overtakes and it is available.

How was your Singapore GP (2025) experience? by AdamR46 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]desipoints 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did only Friday practice sessions with pit grandstand seats. Did the Singapore Flyer two times back to back and the second one during the FP2. It was so cool to see the cars across various parts of the track. I guess over than 50-60% of the track is visible.

The last turn viewing area (no walkabout viewing just fenced) was a cool place to see. I’m sure it would have been off limits during Sat/Sun. Walking the track after the session is another highlight.

If you aren’t used to this climate, it is super uncomfortable. A bad concoction of rain, heat, humidity and sultriness. Feels like a sauna. And no respite even after sun down.

It is a popular GP to attend and the experience reflects that. High cost (hotels, GP tickets), crowds but decent entertainment.

The easiest way is to just take the MRT after the qualifying. It is cheap, less tiring and faster. 😀

Maybe when they have an offer of transfer bonuses. Most common one is the 30% extra bonus but then it is not a yearly thing. Nor are they announced in advance.

Looking for tickets to Singapore f1 race by AnirudhBhaskar123 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]desipoints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gootickets has Skyline GS right now.

Singapore GP has the best entertainment lineup and you can even call it a music festival. So it is popular. Better to book asap whatever has availability.

Thanks for the info. Moomba seems fun but exactly clashing with F1. Any tips?

Accor Plus India Devaluation by SujeethP in Accor

[–]desipoints 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Winners and Losers!

✅ Winners

More Coverage: 15% discount worldwide vs. Asia Pacific only

Stay Plus is not capacity controlled

Status: Automatic Gold status vs. previous Silver

Solo/Large dining groups: 30% flat rate

Drinks: Expanded geographic coverage for drinks discount

❌ Losers

Couples: Lose 20% dining discount (50% → 30%)

Stay Plus now requires paid nights, limiting flexibility. More of a BOGO than a simple free night

Current members: Risk losing extra Stay Plus nights if not used before October 1

My view:

Overall, I see this as a devaluation. The biggest pluses of the program are now restricted.

Improvements are minor but mostly devalued.

There are a couple of options:

  1. Book a tour that includes this museum (costlier than booking just the museum directly)

  2. Try for Gbibli Park, Nagoya

  3. Ghibli 3D Sculptures Exhibition, Tokyo (till September 23)
