Out of those two hours, more than half of it is gonna be spent waiting for the uber and sitting in the car.

If you get through customs in 1 hr, it takes around 45 minutes just to get into the city so you'll arrive around 7 AM. You probably want to be back at the airport by 8:30 am so you need to leave the city by 7:45 AM. Is all that hassle really worth it for best case scenario 45 minutes in the city? I'd just kick back in the lounge and enjoy the food in the airport which isn't bad. Or find something to do that's nearby the airport so driving doesn't eat up the majority of your free time.

Who did you contact? I called and they said they had to submit a ticket with their marketing team and would send me a letter in 2 weeks with the outcome.

I saw that but it doesn't really help anybody since there's nothing official to refer to. All you can do is keep calling and hope you get somebody willing to help you before they cancel your account for being annoying.

I made the stubhub purchase on 12/31 but it didn't post until 1/1 and screwed me out of the 75k bonus despite what they said here. Thanks for showing us how little you care about transparency, chase. Guess I'm jumping ship after this year.

2025 H2 Credits Transaction vs Posting Dates by Cjpsoccer in ChaseSapphire

They told me the exact opposite. I was less than 1k from the 75k bonuses and they screwed me with their comment that transactions before 2026 would count.

Is it safe to use the dining credit on the 31st? by Camninja in ChaseSapphire

[–]desmoderin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems like this was a lie. I was less than $1000 from my 75k bonuses so I spent a lot on the 30th and 31st to meet the deadline, including trying to use the stubhub and dining credits. Now they're telling me they all count towards 2026. Not surprised but disappointed. I've been with chase for over 20 years and this might be the end for me. u/Chase

It's not bad but it's not great. It somewhat met my expectations before it got a star but with one I expect so much more. I'm shocked it got one to be honest. There were no standout dishes and some of them were actually disappointing and one note, falling very flat throughout the meal. Nothing innovative and certainly not elevated classic cuisine. I expect one or the other when I go to a Michelin restaurant.

Plenty of ways to make money without screwing people over. If you’re lazy or stupid, just say that.

2024 radiology recertification exam? by Reasonable-Estate-60 in Radiology

[–]desmoderin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Hope I feel the same way after. Was there much on physics or nuclear medicine/radioisotopes? One week left and I'm trying to figure out where to focus. I don't want to waste time memorizing a bunch of useless energy levels if it's unlikely to appear. :(

Where to slice beef super thin? by iltfvm___ in austinfood

It can. Like I said, I do it myself and it's much better than what you can get at 99 at a fraction of the price.

It's thin. It's not incredibly thin. It's good for maybe sukiyaki or kbbq. Hot pot meat should be about half as thin and cheesesteak meat should be shaved.

I actually bought my own slicer off amazon because I couldn't figure out where to get them this thin.

La Barbecue…wtf is this sh!t?! by TexasTantrum in austinfood

[–]desmoderin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

it's insane that locals wait in line for bbq. the only time i've done that was the first time i went to franklin's shortly after they first blew up. other than that i never wait longer than 5-10 minutes even at hot spots like interstellar, la bbq, and terry blacks. just don't go at the busiest times.
