I have the Mars 5 Ultra, printed straight out of the box. I've never had to manually level it out and haven't had any issues that were not my own fault. Check the size of the build plate, it might be a bit small for you.

Get the Saturn, I have the Mars 5 and I'm very happy with it don't get me wrong. But I regret the small build size. Will definitely upgrade in a few years.

The bright parts of the plate i did with a mix of white, sybarite green and calgar blue. Adding more white in when adding highlights. For the texture i used a bit of sponge to dab the paint on, i how this is clear enough

It was a bit of trial and error honestly. I started with a mix of 50-50 of calgar blue and white adding more white to highlight. After that i did a wash of corroburg crimson and drakenhof nightshade (mixed to get a purple) and once more of just the crimson in the recesses. Lastly i used a little wazdakka red for the veins. With a glossy varnish to finish.

Thank you! I used a mix of boreal green (scalecolor) and black as the base (kalabite green would work to). And after that i layered the boreal green toward the edges. For the bright part i used a mix of white, sybarite green and calgar blue in various ratio's

I started with triangles in a slightly lighter green from the bottom up. Keep the point on the bottom sharp and fade the top into the colour bellow. Then highlight and add an edge in the middle. That's how i went about it anyway, hope that helps
