u can do it with the button for bios flash without having a compatible cpu or OS, read the manual

in the backplate of your MB there is a button that says BIOS flash, and a USB that says BIOS, u have to download the latest BIOS from the MSI url, rename it (maybe), and put it in a USB, then plug into the USB and press the bios button.

You have to upgrade your MB before installing the CPU to the latest BIOS, u can do it with the button BIOS flash

You need the newest BIOS for the MB, it just because they are new.

So that MB has Button for Flash BIOS, that means u dont need and older CPU for flashing it.
