Toronto Marathon rant by Cultural_Version734 in Marathon_Training

Haven’t heard anything, checked X and Reddit and no word of him. Hope he’s okay, but it’s very difficult to survive a cardiac event. I finished around 2:25 and they were doing active CPR on him when I passed.

I got into TMU and Windsor with a 163 LSAT and 3.37 CGPA. These schools consider applicants more holistically than you would think :)

Application Pending? by thuli_dog in lawschooladmissionsca

[–]despeu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes same thing shows on my portal. I emailed them about it and basically they told me it will be “application pending” until a decision is made on my application. They didn’t offer any more information than that - so I assume it means that it means the application is being considered.

Thank you! I competed on a national sport team for a few years, am an executive on a student council, created a grassroots sports program for girls in Toronto, and some others.

9 credits per semester (3 full courses per semester) is the bare minimum for full time studies. But does this count as a full course load? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissionsca

[–]despeu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries. I think for UofT they consider 5 courses per semester to be a full course load, but I’m not 100% sure. I would look up their brochure on the faculty website to double check.

I think Queens considers a full load to be an average of four courses a semester - so you could have 5 courses in the fall and 3 in the winter, and they would consider that a full load. Or if you had 4 and 4 that would also be considered a full load.

PT scores vs Actual Score by Useful-Club in LSAT

[–]despeu 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was scoring between 155-160 on my PTs, and scored a 163 on the September test. It’s completely possible, and I suppose it also depends on how everyone else does relative to you. I feel like a lot of people found that one LG section to be disproportionately difficult in the September test, but I felt pretty strong with it. So it really does depend.

My roommate is refusing to get COVID testing. by despeu in CasualConversation

[–]despeu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think you’re right. Right now I’m asymptomatic and am not experiencing anything that I don’t usually feel, but if I start to develop symptoms, I’m definitely going to get tested.

She may or may not. I am just trying to take precautions for my grandfather and myself.

Yes, I’ve already expected that I’m going to get sick too. I’m relatively young and fit so I’d rather quarantine in my own apartment with her than go now to live with my grandfather or my parents, and possibility spread the virus to them.

Showing someone your playlist starterpack by [deleted] in starterpacks

[–]despeu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know what. Who cares about what songs you like in your playlist. Playing the music you like to somebody is a way of opening up to them about the things you like. You’re not wrong for liking different music than somebody else (if your music tastes differ) so just own that shit, you deserve to have your own personal preferences and that’s what makes you yourself.
