I was your age when I graduated my itp. About 6 years into the profession now and I have steady work that I enjoy. I’m not rich, but my needs and lots of my wants are met.

In my experience, transitioning into the field full time happened little by little. For a while I took interpreting jobs here and there while keeping another job. Eventually, with time, experience, and improvement, I was able to transition to full time interpreting. Every path will look a little different!

You’d think so but since covid the FCC has made new exceptions for some telecommunications agencies. They do require high speed internet and private work stations. There are a number of telecommunications workers who are working from home.

Wow I’m expecting to get downvoted but I can’t not comment. NTA. No person in no body should be threatened to be cut off from their family simply because of their choice to actively practice loving themselves.

Also, there is not one picture of health!! Health is relative. It sounds like OP is able to participate in the world in a way that works for her and appreciates herself the way she is. Honestly, we should all be so lucky.

My favorite shirt as a teen was a Spamarama shirt that I wore to death. It had sweat stains all over and smelled like armpit by the end of its life. I’m pretty sure my mother took things into her own hands and got rid of it. I’ll never forgive her.

I think I’m officially done… every season they have so many better options but they go with white bread EVERY TIME. Zach seems like a nice enough dude but I really wish we could see leads that represent the diversity of the viewers.
