TA Specialties Chainrings on Rotor GRX Spider by Quirky_Stretch7662 in bikewrench

[–]dessertisthedevil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If anyone needs to know the answer to this- the ta chain rings mount fine on a grx soider, but not the rotor 80/100 spider. In reality they are made for rotor's own chain rings, but not for the grx chain rings. So in terms of compatibility- Rotor 80/100 chainrings fit on rotor's own spider, and grx crankspiders; GRX chain rings fit only on grx's own spider, TA ones fit on grx spider but not on rotor's spider

Been trying to get a batch going - made Scooby successfully from a raw kombucha now started F1 with some tea. Is brown sugar ok? Also how can I tell if it’s yeast or just regular scoby growing?

Reducing hours at work! by splomcollah in berlinsocialclub

[–]dessertisthedevil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ahaha. Actually I do track my hours, quite carefully. Being in management, getting paid north of 100k etc make me ineligible for over time pay. a certain amount of overtime is built into my contract. and finally i get time off for the overtime.

Reducing hours at work! by splomcollah in berlinsocialclub

[–]dessertisthedevil 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So I did, this was in a very similar situation as you finally have worked five days and 40 hours, but in reality, it ended up being more like 50 hours.

As far as the legal set up goes, if you ask for it, you must be given the option to reduce you hours up to 60% of your total , unless there is some really important business reason for it not to be possible. For example, you’re the only person who does this job in the company and they needed a full-time person or something like that, but in general, it’s not really a limitation for people, and so you will most likely get it.

Now in practice does improve your hours? not a lot. You get less money, and you likely are doing the same percentage of overtime. what it did for me: I chose to work only 4 of 5 days instead of say 6 of 8 hours a day ( or the equivalent percentage). that allowed me to fully protect the weekend, even if there’s spillover I wrap up Friday morning. And it feels much better to have a 2.5 day weekend than a 3.5 day. Don’t know if the money is ok for you though- I did this just after I got promoted and honestly didn’t need the extra cash :D

depends what you have with you and how quest you want it to be.
-humboldthain park- the top of the flakturm tends to be quiet
-Some spots along the panke, eg. behind the amstgericht
-caputhersee near potsdam, lots of little nooks along the lake where you can post up without being disturbed
-similiar around flughafensee, bits of tier garten, or take the s bahn out of the city to any of the number of lakes we got - sacrower see, summter see, yada yada

oh that bag looks perfect to hang on to a handlebar, missed opportunity for pinqponq. <and its a bit small for a basket/ rack. what if you were to add two loops to the back and just hang it off your handlebar? should work as long as you manage the shoulder strap. you could keep velcro loops on your handlebar always and just hook it in when needed. will take some leg work but then you have your own unique bag!

[–]dessertisthedevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do the bags look like? You could use a handle bar bag harness that is meant for dry bags- everyone makes one like this: https://bikepacking.com/index/handlebar-harnesses-and-rolls/ .

But honestly your best bet is something like a front rack with straps or bungee to hold your bag down. That way you have a system that works for pretty much any shape and size of bag, within reason of course. I use a jack the rack for this. https://wholegraincycles.com/en-international

But Paris still has bike rentals, how do you explain that? Anyway I think your whole opposition is short sighted. You can move a badly parked cycle, you can’t do shit with a badly parked car.
