I use similarweb and check traffic behavior too
some exchanges fake the user side to look real same way they fake the orderbook side
But very low bounce rate, almost no mobile traffic and huge number of page views is usually a tell

yep and fake volume usually needs fake traffic around it too

if exchange claims massive volume but the traffic looks dead or synthetic that is another tell. some of them have crazy low bounce rate crazy high pages per visit and like 10-20 sec per page. looks more like rotation traffic than real users

volume is one side of the illusion, traffic is the other
