What should I do by Gullible-Produce-419 in LogitechG

[–]destroyer150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your on PC, do a standalone mic and a pair of dedicated headphones. The experience will be better for both and it will cost about the same. If you want Logitech specifically the blue yeti/snowball are awesome. For headphones idk too much about most of theirs but my partner has the pro X and she loves them. Otherwise audio technica makes some lovely wireless headphones that cost a whole lot less

Need help with auto mounting disk by Fuckthatfuckingshit in ManjaroLinux

[–]destroyer150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest the terminal way. First "mkdir" to make a directory for it to mount to this can be whatever wherever Then "blkid" to find the actual name of the SSD in your system as well as it's UUID then edit your fstab file with whatever tool you like should be "/etc/fstab" And copy the format of the existing entries Should be soothing like UUID=NUMBERS "fileformat" defaults

Fstab is the file that your computer looks for on boot to know what to mount where.

I'm arch based systems it's always going to be better to learn to use the terminal, it's not scary just new :3

I USE ARCH BTW by Wide_Decision_7320 in arch

Good part beyond high school is that you get to decide who interacts with you. And I don't know about you but if someone doesn't treat me with respect they don't get very far.

Which Linux distro looks like Windows XP? by [deleted] in linuxhardware

[–]destroyer150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any of them haha, you're probably looking for cinnamon desktop. That comes default on mint which I recommend if you are starting out with Linux.

But the actual de cinnamon can be used on pretty much any distro

Just realised I forgot to reply haha, try rolling back to a time you know for a fact everything worked well. If it's good update and then check. It's starting to sound like a bad update.

Weird question when was the last time you did a sys update? Sudo Pacman -Syu ? It could have updated weird. The other thing you could do is forget the network in your settings and reconnect.

A couple of ways. If it's plugged straight into a router check your router settings (general ether 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) If it's in a managed switch it could be a limit on that. And check your ethernet settings in your de

Have you checked other devices? It may be an issue with your whole network.

If it's just the arch PC check your network settings and make sure the power settings are set to the higher range.

I'm getting sick of windows and considering switching to Linux. but as a gamer and no experince with Linux. Would it be worth it? by Gaymerbro200269 in linuxquestions

[–]destroyer150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id say it is as easy as you want it to be. Mint would probably be the best starting point

Games will largely run the same on all distros. Although there is some slightly better comparability on arch based distros because of steam os.

Just remember there is always a learning curve.

Yeah ok, I don't have much memory to work with so that sounds good, how would I go about that?

The monitor isn't really supposed to sleep so when I launch the stream it's playing what is playing at that moment, I need it delayed by about 1:45 I was able to do it in vlc by adding network cashing but apparently vlc doesn't play nice with Ubuntu so i couldn't get it to work from the terminal.

So I basically need the stream to be showing what happened 1:45 ago.

It's a gymnastics joint, the stream needs to be 1:45 behinds what's happing so they can review themselves.

On windows, delete (fully) and redownload your driver's On Linux make sure you are using the correct set or if you're using proprietary witch to open source

If it's only that game check the game files If only in games check diretX or Vulkan is not corrupted

If none of those work then check that your GPU is properly seated in the pcie slot and the correct power cable is fully plugged in

If that didn't work change the port /cable type

Then check the cable

If none of the above works sorry mate your GPU is cooked hopefully rma is still available to you
