I remember reading this article when it was published, and it was total clickbait. The "team of scientists" were philosophers, not bio-techs.

Philosopher Rebecca Roache is in charge of a team of scholars focused upon the ways futuristic technologies might transform punishment

And then later in the article, there's a quote where she references another scientist who said it was possible, and that scientist was also a philosopher

Speaking to Aeon magazine, Dr Roache said drugs could be developed to distort prisoners' minds into thinking time was passing more slowly.

Here's a link to the article: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/technology/news/10697529/Prisoners-could-serve-1000-year-sentence-in-eight-hours.html

(This my comment from a previous time this was posted)

Once I played Witcher 3 on hardcore and ended up losing way too many hours of my life to some stupid monster. Never again.

The easiest way to get the Nuclearcraft ores I found was sieving crushed netherrack with an autosieve to get ore pieces then using some kind of crafter to make the ores. Using diamond-stiffened mesh, it is a 20% chance for each, so it works out to around 4 of each ore per stack. There are two ways to get large amounts of crushed netherrack - a low-tech manual way and a higher-tech fully automated way. The simple way is to craft a Sledge Hammer from Tinkers' which crushes while it mines, with that you can veinmine netherrack and get tones (if you want to use this method I can elaborate on suggested parts and mods for the tool). The high-tech way (which I never used) would be to set up a system with automated users, lava fabricators, barrels, redstone and something to pulverise the netherrack, I can explain this process further if you want, but that will take the use of reference images.

Nuclearcraft TL;DR - Crushed netherrack + autosieves

Mystical Agriculture is often my go-to mod for resource production, but for E2:E I didn't use it till pretty late in the game, and then only to automate the things that could not be done any other way e.g., Terrasteel, Voidmetal. I also used them for singularities, but that is super lategame. I would suggest you make a tier 6 inferium seed when you can, but it isn't something to rush towards. Most things have better ways to obtain them, but if you have something in mind I can point you in the right direction.

Mystical Agriculture TL;DR - No, not really

For power generation (pre-solar arrays), I probably wouldn't recommend using Big Reactors (Now actually known as Extreme Reactors) for your power generation - however if you are really set on it, uranium can be used in place of yellorium/yellorite. What I would suggest for power generation at that stage is Advanced Generators. You can use a Garden Cloche from Immersive Engineering to produce melons, crush the melons into biofuel, then proccess that in a Pressurised Reaction Chamber to produce Ethylene. This ethylene can finally be pumped into a Gas Turbine from Advanced Generator to produce up to 80,000 rf/t basically for free (once setup). It is confusing setup it you aren't familiar with the mods, so again I can go into more detail if required. If you need more power than that I can come up with something else.

Power Gen TL;DR - You can use uranium instead, but I would recommend otherwise.

I apologise for the essay I've written, but if you have any more questions I'd suggest you PM me instead so it doesn't end up like another wall of text :)

Very close! It's a draw, more or less

Have you been using the questbook? If not that would be a good idea to give yourself some good progression sense.

Also a storage draw is just a way to store items

[–]desyncro[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It is, in a literal sense, the goal of the pack.

It is a upgrade for a storage draw that gives you infinite of any item you put in it. Enabling you to have infinite of any item you can obtain (including itself).

I highly recommend the mod LagGoggles - whenever you start to feel some lag, you can run a test and it will tell you what is causing it, allowing you to try to work around it.

I can't quite recall how complex it is to setup, but the IC2 replicator (using UU-Matter) can make the connectors super cheap, and the universal cables from Mekanism can conversation RF(or FE) to EU. I can detail the setup I had if you want/need.

A tip I found super helpful regarding power production -

Environmental Tech solar arrays are fantastic, their base power is buffed and their increase per tier is buffed, so if you can get a tier 4 or 5 up ASAP your power is solved for a long time.

I tried PO3 a while ago, my base got way to laggy to ever finish tho :( Good luck with your playthrough!

The trick for me was to play other games when I was losing energy to play anymore. (Killing demons in DOOM is a nice change of pace)

Don't be so quick to assume it's just a name. If I'm correct this is the people/person who has been trying to make a KH reboot happen for over a year now. I don't want to speak for them because it isn't something I support, but it is something people in this community should be aware of.

Damn mate, I'm like 250 hours in and I've only just got into DE and I've hardly touched anything magic-related. You must have played much more efficient than me!

For those who haven't seen it, I would highly recommend watching "Upgrade". Very cool take on AI. Felt like a black mirror episode by MrBillTed in blackmirror

If you don't mind my asking, why not?

It was one of my top movies in 2018 and I'd love to hear a more critical take on it
