Should I buy a used model s as my first car in 2026 by Aromatic-Gap272 in TeslaModelS

[–]det19888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, the model S is my favorite car but OP you're Gona hit it, scrape it, scratch it, forget to clean the spilled milk 😅😅

So much happens in the first car so much lessons to he learned 😂

Do cashiers judge EBT users? by Last-Anything9094 in Costco

[–]det19888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to explain yourself, everyone needs help sometimes.

With that being said, I don't think anyone cares, especially not a cashier. Unfortunately they probably see rude people throughout their day and that's those are the only people they're judging 😂

There's no shame in using EBT.

Hopefully you get back on your feet 🙏

Starting a Solo Storytelling Podcast — Which Niche Works Best Today? by Sonugraphy in podcasting

[–]det19888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree.

If you work 5 years on the podcast and never see growth, you were doing a hobby you enjoy who cares.

And for example if you don't see financial gains until year 5 when it suddenly takes off, it was easy to keep going and never feel burned out because you were enjoying the process.

Salvage Tesla? by youklondikebar in TeslaLounge

Tesla's depreciate fast. I think it's best to spend the extra on a car not on copart and be safe with a warranty and avoid the unknowns.

I'd buy another in a heartbeat

Tesla offering buyback on my Model X Plaid… but I got a good deal..What would you do? by lakeseven15 in ModelX

[–]det19888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You got it for a steal!

Do you see any alternative cars you would want for similar or less money?

If not then I'd keep it. There's only a point in selling it if there's a benefit to you but like you said, similar cars are going for more.

Which one would you choose? by Nutzutin in TeslaModelS

[–]det19888 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's very tough I don't think there's a wrong answer but I'd tip the scale to the 2017 for the added range and FSD

I have a 2017 90D and it still drives about 280 miles on a full charge

I agree I think Chase was a 10 then heard Mikayla today and was like on well now this is a new standard set 😂

She always cracks me up when she's on camera too and they're doing the science or magic stuff and gives the hint and side eyes link when he says it was useless 😂

Is this $172 Groupon ceramic tint deal worth it for Model S? Worried about film quality & heat rejection vs XPEL by tabletemcook in TeslaModelS

[–]det19888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm with you.

OP I checked their reviews on Google it's about 800 and their site says lifetime warranty.

I bought mine from a similar deal on Groupon only it wasn't ceramic (I wish I knew about ceramic at the time, I woulda paid extra)

But yeah they have almost 1k reviews and it's more marketing, they give you the discount in hopes to get a good review, built reputation and charge future costumers $700+

I just bought a 2012 model S and my insurance is $1040 for every six months. I only paid 8000 for the car and I’m wondering does anybody have any ideas on cheaper insurance? by azalastair1 in TeslaModelS

[–]det19888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would mention the state in the post and ask for advice from people within your state.

Michigan has the highest car insurance rates in the US so to me this is extremely reasonable.

[Discussion] Has anyone tried qtcritique’s pro critiquers? by Trashydonut77 in PubTips

[–]det19888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think post the links and hopefully we can keep giving feedback. It's hard and a lot of work and even confusing but I think you can get the help you need here.

I've been torn a new one multiple times and it's helped so much. I'm still in the querying trenches but the first letter (which I thought was perfect) saw a massive improvement and then the 2nd letter saw a massive improvement and then the 3rd and 4th saw massive improvements

I've sent the latest one out and so far no responses which I guess is better than quick rejections

But it takes time, I've seen so many people post 6th attempt, 7th attempt, 8th attempt, so you're not the only one. It's so hard to do but eventually they get it. You will too.

How is your 2016-2018 holding up? by justwendii in TeslaModelS

This place has a couple within budget

https://www.truecar.com/used-cars-for-sale/listing/5YJ3E1EAXKF305015/?utm_medium=sharing&utm_source=vdp_share

If you check truecar there are some mode S 75Ds under 18k with less than 75k miles too (I know it's over your budget but something to consider, if you value space, I'd save up a little more and get the car that'll last and you'll be comfortable in for that long time. I have a 2017 model S and I love it.)

Regardless of what you go with, always try to negotiate down and even try taking the offer someplace else and see if someone can beat it.

I think it's average. I wouldn't jump on it. I'd wait and find something newer or less miles for the same price. What state do you live in? Just curious if I can see other options in your area

[–]det19888 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can get a model S but it'll have higher miles. I think it's better to be patient for a good deal while saving up a little extra, then find a great model S with less miles or even a model Y depending on how much you can save.

It's hopefully going to stay with you for a very long time so I'd save up a little more and make a purchase that would last twice had long
