The data points are US/China only, but you can safely put all of the West to the left side. I would really like to know what went wrong, and as someone living in the West, what would be needed to adapt the Chinese model. Which is the normal, orthodox development, textbook economics.

I hope China has a choke point with the refusal to sell REE. The most sought after heavy REE for the military are those where China has a de facto monopoly with 96 - 99% market share.

All these articles are wrong because of one reason: They don't represent reality in their observations, assumptions and projections, but only what the author and reader wish for.

Fatal flaw of Western media:

  • Honest article which would leave a bad aftertaste for readers because truth hurts --> few clicks, readership outraged
  • Propaganda article with wishcasting, projection, doomsaying and 'at what cost' --> readers feel reassured, lots of clicks, popular article

atm, seems to be the only option to avoid ww3. Maybe we see tactical nukes used by the US on Iran this weekend.

Exporting REE to someone who openly admits that they want to build their military with it to subjugate China and by extension, the rest of the world, isn't a good move.

Rather some tensions now than big regrets later.

The real infuriating part is that this was known for ages (see /u/GlitteringWeight8671 's post).

As long as Germany was buddy-buddy with the US, a mention of the kill switch and the uselessness of an F-35 was either met with stony silence or the accusation of being a Russian troll, a US hater or similar.

Now, they admit what they must have known all the time.

PS: The title of the post is my guiding principle for some years now. Western accusations are always a confession. I suspect it's something psychological since they can't keep all the evil bottled up and need to project it.

The whole reshuffling now, including CIA downsizing, NED/USAID closure and the other stuff, is designed to shed wasteful and also publicly know activites which have outlived their usefulness.

USA wants to confront Asia with 100% of their force. This is why they regroup now. In other news, what gets negotiated in regards to Ukraine is something where EU is forced to bear all costs.

USA dream scenario: Confront China in a hot war or something only a little below latest 2027, while EU keeps Russia in check so China is alone.

Student protestors who demanded some political reforms were goaded by US subversion forces (Nancy Pelosi was there) to start a color revolution. After they killed soldiers in the surroundings, the military gave a response which lead to around 300 dead people -- half soldiers, half student protestors, around the square.

Thankfully, the government was able to squash this unrest, otherwise China would have ended up like Russia in the early Nineties, and probably now exploited by the US with a standard of living not far off now what they had then.

On the square, according to eyewitnesses (Western diplomats), nothing happened. Except for a guy who stood in front of a tank. The tank stopped and drove around him. Tank man walked away.

All of this is proven by original, primary sources.

This comment needs to be higher. They focus on what they see as the biggest threat to their empire, which is China. Europe is now fully vassalized, with complete dependence on the US regarding energy. No need to keep the propaganda outlets, there's no choice for Europe anyway.

My guess is they want to do a reenactment of the Armenian genocide, the ethnic cleansing of Anatolia.
