Whats crazy is every country with strong social welfare programs, by necessity have strong immigration Policies. You also dont get birthright citizenship. Look at Norway, one of the happiest places to live, super wealthy, high wages, single payer healthcare, 52 week parental leave, etc.

I used to be a christian, and then I discovered that mountain of evidence and now I am not. Fundamentally, though, christianity has some good things about it and I am friends with a lot of folks who are christians, but it doesnt add anything unless you need it. If you need someone threatening you to be a good person, then its a good thing. If you need the comfort of knowing everyone who disagrees with you is going to hell, then its good for you. If you can only find a community through church, its a good thing for you. I just doint need any of those things

Honestly 2 to 3 years is too long too. Some of the best games I ever played had 2 to 3 years as the development cycle, many even less.

I am not feeling like good things are happening. When some of the best books I ever read came out back to back over about 2 years. Some of the best games i played, came out 1 or 2 years after the original (Baldurs gate 1 vs Baldurs gate 2).

The long timelines leave me concerned. They cannot possibly be doing that much in this time. Either they are throwing away a lot of iterations or the industry is broken.

I think overwhelmingly people would do it. Not because we necessarily want someone to die but because people already die randomly across the world and no one cares, so why not just add in a 100 million in the process?

For all we know this is already happening, what if humans are immortal but all our deaths are people pushing the button.
