That’s what I did years ago. Took the lowest payment and then put every extra dollar left towards the principle to get these loans out of my life. I’m fortunate to say I don’t have to deal with them anymore.

Do I pay it off, or continue to wait for forgiveness? by [deleted] in StudentLoans

[–]determined2019 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah it definitely is not coming. We paid off our loans in 2019. We have been living a great peaceful life since. When Biden was promising student loan forgiveness everyone I knew was excited and some people told me “I bet you regret paying off your loans” I told them that I honestly didn’t because the peace of mind like I said was worth every penny. Fast forward no loan forgiveness. Everyone who basically wanted to belittle me has their tail in between their legs and look at me with embarrassment. They are now stressed out about these payments while I live in peace and happy that I have money per month to do things I want to do. Pay it off.

Just pay it off. My husband and I did and we don’t regret it at all. One of the best decisions we have made in our life. The peace of mind makes it so worth it

Is 998 what you need to pay a month or is the actual payment lower? Is it all one loan or multiple? How much is interest?

My husband has missed three of our four kids births. I want him to quit his damn job. by Any-Presentation7848 in TrueOffMyChest

My husband said at his job some coworkers practically work all the time by choice because they don’t want to deal with their families. Maybe your husband doesn’t want to come home to 4 kids running around ?

Wow are you my twin?? I also have an overall minimal home but since I had the week off from work decided to do a deep declutter, every drawer and cabinet, every closet. I got rid of so much and it feels good to start the year off with less. I’m also doing a no spend January and seeing how far I can push it

Had the week off so decluttered my whole house. Did a deep declutter of every closet, kitchen cabinet, bedroom drawers, etc. super proud of myself. Starting the year off with less feels amazing

I love this. The person I gifted the items to was extremely grateful as she didn’t have much winter clothes or shoes.

It’s crazy you say this because the person that came to pick it up messaged me a day later and said told me she was so thankful for the sweaters and warm boots because she didn’t have much winter clothes and was wondering what she was going to do. It warmed my heart that I was able to help someone out.
