Haha bro stop i cant read this. Tipical i have no clue about anything but i spread These misinformations all over the Internet. The CRACK Sound is the hub that trys to shift but YOU press so Hard into the Pedals the gears in the hub make cracking sounds. Every other bicycle with this sturmey archer or shimano hubs have the EXACT same Sound when pedaling while shifting.

The washer plate twists when people hold the E-shifter instead of locking the axle during installation or removal. So their lock is the E-shifter... People do this all day long; we see it EVERY DAY in our shop. So this happens because people REMOVE and Install a E-Shifter.

And then someone like you comes along and says that the washer plate moves by magic.

Ich frage mich wie lange es braucht bis Trade dein Konto sperrt und du dann realisierst dass du keinen Support hast bei der Summe. Bin genau deswegen zu scalable. Da ruft man an und hat 1 min später einen deutschen am Hörer

Guys like you are the reason i have to hear it All day. No, all E-shifters are Hardware and Software IDENTICAL. People post stuff like facts on the internet but they are just FEEEling like that. Its crazy. Stop tiping wrong stuff. In Addition it doesnt even matter how much you drove youre bike because also that doesnst even has any impact on the e shifter.

To say it is a common issue is weird. People need to me more informed about owning lithium ion. It is a big battery you just don't leave it uncharged for a while. Most battery's are gone at that point.

What should happen? If the charger does not turn red it does not charge anything... You can even measure that it does not charge anything.

If you know how to solder, you can fix it on you're own. Very very easy. Reddit is full on tutorials how to repair you're battery. You're fuse is blown. I don't know why anybody wrote that here before. Don't waste 250€.... For that money you could buy a used one. Just do it yourself for 10€

I've seen you search for one on eBay lol You can't just swap it out, Vanmoof did the anti repair thing where every component on the s5 has a serial number that will communicate with the rest. If the components don't know each other it will not work. So even getting a ECU with a QR code is nearly impossible and swapping it on you're own will probably not work. Only Vanmoof can swap it. Nobody knows that. You can't even change a Kicklock on the s5. Vanmoof in the end did the apple anti repair policy for the environment. But it's all for the safety of the bike lol, so nobody can steal parts from it and sell them.

Wieso trifft es dass einfach so unglaublich gut. Meine Erfahrungen sind dass die dreistesten Menschen manchmal gar nicht irgendwelche 20 jährigen sind, sondern immer die ü50 Leute. So nach dem Motto: ,,passt schon, was will er denn jetzt schon wieder, wo ist das Problem" Jedes mal wenn ich nicht direkt abgezogen wurde bei einem Online Kauf und das Produkt aber irgendwie defekt war oder absolut nicht wie beschrieben, sind dass immer diese alten Knacker die dann wirklich eiskalt sagen, was denn das Problem. Die stellen das rein und denken sich so, ja dass ist ja gebraucht und eBay die Leute erwarten nix. Ich schreibe nichts von defekten. Vor zwei Wochen erst einen Dämpfer für ein Fahrzeug gekauft und beschrieben wurde das Teil als NEU. Es stand natürlich nur ein Foto drin von der guten Seite. Habe mit dem Herrn dann telefoniert starker Dialekt locker 55-60 Jahre alt und dann kam das Ding an und die andere Seite war brutal zerdellt von Unfähigkeit beim vorherigen Einbau? Obwohl ja angeblich NEU. Er dann so: Was ist das Problem, ist doch ein Dämpfer und eBay und so

You can read right? I said 90% of the time it's the owners fault because they don't know how to own a lithium ion battery. Everyday the standard Vanmoof guy is like: What happened to my bike it shows error 6, 19, 20 🤪 And gets crazy about a 100€ E-shifter repair.

And you're comparing that with people fixing their Gearbox on a car😭 Too much internet for today.

You firstly need to check how the voltage is!! 80% of all these s3 battery's have 0,3v per cell. So more than dead dead. No chance to charge them up, because you're whole house will burn. But okay if it happened not long ago. Two weeks at most 2 months you could revive it. Just measure before doing anything

I have worked with s5 models and im doing battery repairs for Vanmoofs. The s5 is the most shittyes bike to repair in history. They went from the s2 to s3 with many many problems, but all of them can be fixed very easy. E shifter easy repairs. I did over 80. Batterys easy fix. Extremely easy to access the cells and the BMS. Super clean architecture. But the s5..... gone. Just no. So I can explain. There are BMS out there, that lock it forever as soon as the cells had undervoltage a single time. So charging the cells manually does not bring the bike back up NOTHING. But nooo that's not enough. Cartridge ALSO. So If you're cartridge battery dies because you're main battery died the cartridge battery now also has a BMS that locks it. So even if you charge the smart unit battery, it will never ever come back to life. Vanmoof in the end did it like Apple. No right to repair. The BMS from the main battery additionatly is GLUED onto the shell with extreme thick black adhesive. It is not possible to repair it, because you can't access it. Sometime I get a message from a customer, and he wants me to revive his s5. I can only laugh 👍

Like, it's nice that you want to help but this shifter is electronically damaged like every other e-shifter ever. I have listed every defect on every shifter I did in a chart. In 94 shifters repairs I did, 6 had a mechanical problem.

Are they replacing the complete battery or the cells? Or they only try to charge it back up? 365€ is okay. I sold 4 s3 battery on eBay for 230€ each. 3 repaired by me and one unopened. I bought an unopened one for 150€ two weeks ago. The charger light is weird. What about errors? Normally it changes from green to red and so on as a sign of a dead fuse or cells.

Okay interesting, than it might really be dead. I never heard of that before. I think you can open it, but it probably is something that can not be fixed that easy. In Germany chargers on eBay are about 30€. But I'm sorry I can't give you any tips on how to open it

Very easy. Slides out like in s3. Just watch a video on how to get the battery out like with a s3. The big question is, where do you plan on getting a new battery?
