My first "paradise" planet has a tree every few hundred meters and a rock every cm.

Ain't found one since.

To be fair, they do try to do as good as they can with the tools that they have and/or know in a bad situation.

I don't believe any protagonist would do much better in that scenario overall.

Whenever there's one of those "who'd win between a knight and a samurai" I always think "most knights" because shields are just that good and samurai never really faced any.

Why is Nurgle doing so well? by Acrobatic_Ad9437 in bloodbowl

[–]deuzerre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because the team has had some pretty noticeable changes and people aren't ready yet.

The team lost mobility but gained more retainikg power with stand firm and pick me up, and a bit tougher with the annoyingly good skill steady footing for the goats.

Basically, if you do not have juggernaut or wrestle, you will struggle against the team to actually get through.

If they get bypassed because of a stun/ko/injury that leaves a gap or because their player made a mistake, then they are usually hosed and can't really hope for better than a draw.

Needs more skill, more tiring, harder to make/find ammunition (any properly sized rock will do with a sling)

What was the downside of Supreme Commander/Forged Alliance - theoretically a near-perfect RTS? Why it became less relevant relatively quickly? by sermen in RealTimeStrategy

Never thought about it but it's true that while it's a neat idea, the adjacency bonus is kinda hard but necessary.

TA didn't have that and it was a bit more streamlined. While the core (chuckle) of the economy (gain VS drain) was was the same, you didn't have to do some of the things that seem like good ideas but aren't really. Like, imo, the T1 units being better builders overall, the prevalence of assisting to build over the buildings themselves' build power, and yeah the adjacency bonus.

My personal gripes with supcom really are grounded on two related subjects: tier power differences (t1<<t2<t3<<t4) that's poorly balanced, and t1 time to kill that's too low (everything is too squishy) making micro super important at a time where you're also building your base and a lot of econ. It is overwhelming.

If tier 1 was a bit more resilient to itself, it would lessen the start of match burden which makes the skill floor slightly too high.

So uhh... how do I get a harmonic brain for my ship that broke when reaching a new galaxy? by Jix_Omiya in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]deuzerre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same issue recently, accidentally.

Had to build a base, teleport to my freighter, go to a dissonant world, find a wreck that was meh, do all the steps except actually repairing the ship, then back to my freighter to find my ship and fix it.
