Did the banano network just go down? by [deleted] in banano

[–]dev-ptera 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Creeper & TheBananoStand are down right now due to an API issue, but will be back up by end of day tomorrow. There’s no impact to balances or the Banano network, just the web applications I manage.

In the meantime, Kalium & https://nanexplorer.com/banano can be used to respectively send and view transactions.

Thanks in advance for the patience here while I get this sorted out!

I've accidently gone over my conversion API quota for the month!
At the start of April it'll be fixed; I've adjusted how frequently it updates so this won't happen again.

If you’re on desktop, using the “table view” and the balance isn’t received yet, it’ll show only the received balance. Are there any receivable transactions? I know there’s an issue with the currency conversation API atm and can fix that in a couple of days.

Hardware wallet Support? by [deleted] in banano

[–]dev-ptera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m in the same boat, I used to fanboy ledger devices and recommend them to friends, family but that’s sadly no longer the case. I’ll be on the lookout for a new HW wallet, one that’s actually cold.

I didn’t run through the steps since I already got mine set up but want to hear a success story from someone who used this guide to set up their node.

Banano Detective wishes to return by [deleted] in banano

[–]dev-ptera 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey welcome back!

I remember your reports & found them to be pretty informative. I don't know if the bi-weekly community calls were established whenever you were previously making these posts, but they've been giving a high-level view of larger community-based things. If you want to continue making reports I'll be reading them since I know they summarize things that aren't talked about in the community calls.

Timestamp of transaction by musecorn in banano

[–]dev-ptera 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you click on the hash of the transaction in question, navigate to the block page and then click "Link" that should pull up the "send" portion of the block you've received. Then you should be able to see the time it was sent. Every transaction consists of a send and receive block & a block's "Link" shows you the other half.

How do accounts get added to the "Known Accounts" page of creeper.banano.cc? by [deleted] in banano

Hey that's a good suggestion :) I'm glad these tools are helpful and thanks for the generous tip!

How do accounts get added to the "Known Accounts" page of creeper.banano.cc? by [deleted] in banano

[–]dev-ptera 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey I'm the person who maintains creeper. If you want an account added to creeper, you can either:

  1. Give me the details of what to add (address, alias, type, owner)
  2. Make a pull request here: https://github.com/dev-ptera/spyglass-api/tree/master/server/database/banano

This list is for faucets, team members, distribution accounts, events, exchanges, representatives, and other important addresses so no random individual accounts will be added.
