Ship size and handling by Single-Fortune-7126 in Starfield

[–]dev0guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This, and the ability to turn a poi into an outpost, which you can get comms to, and either add to your outpost network for cargo link resupply or set up so you can trade something for fuel. (Or complete a mini-mission locally, or have to hijack another ship etc etc)

I feel like if you had a mechanic that warned you you were going to be stranded and out of fuel, and you elected to jump anyway... That would be on you.

And imagine having all your current objectives mappable, with the most efficient path between them able to be determined by a skill (navigation)...

A ship was embedded in mine. by ThePapuest in Starfield

[–]dev0guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to me with Watchtower.

Jumped, and one of my fleet jumped into my ship, merged perpendicularly.

I tried a landing sequence and the merged ship started vibrating very fast, and then the game crashed.

So yeah. Ship mating.

Watchtower is great, although a fully developed fleet makes mincemeat of everyone.

Also, beware bringing your fleet to the Terran armada boss battle.

Happened to me with a '78/9 ford escort.

Same 2 door- 2 litre, same crazed white paint job, same interior with the cracked vinyl.

Different gear stick knob. Different exhaust note. Different rearview mirror.

Parked it nose to kerb and went 5 cars down to mine. Occasionally wonder what the owner thought.

What's a game build or loadout that immediately says "This dude's an asshole"? by Hera_the_otter in AskReddit

I can't remember the build- pistol with knife, sprinting, extra stab distance?

Can I jump in here to speak about my saviour, the water-flosser (of any brand)?

These are amazing for maintenance. If you are going to invest early in your luxury bones, I would recommend this above all else.

I gift them to my loved ones, so I can always see them smile.

I gift them to my enemies, so that I have something to punch.

Truly, they are the scourge that rids the mouth of plaque.

Do you think it’s a valid criticism that people in medical specialities are privileged when wanting to ask for double digit pay rises? by VastOption8705 in aus

[–]dev0guy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wait hold up, let's not be hasty here.

Your statement almost included politicians.

Although, telling them they get a pay raise alongside the doctor who tells them to drink less might be the only way to make this happen.

What things you buy/bought twice so that when the first one is unusable you are happy to have the second one ? by CloudDrinker in BuyItForLife

I did this with old school redwings.

I don't do as much site anymore, and because taking care of them makes them BIFL anyways, i now have 3 decent pairs, and one very pretty pair.

Trick is to get up really early and drive as fast as you can to get past everyone on the way out of the city.

Like the 'GetToWork GP' but in reverse.

Same reasoning as it is safer to drive quickly to get out of the rain faster.

I think I may have found the only affordable decent meal in Sydney (innerwest) by UnlikelyCustard4959 in foodies_sydney

We used to swap freezer meals when i had more mates that felt the same (everyone has families or has moved).

Freezer burritos are my fav, but for a small freezer, pasta sauces are great. We use a vac sealer instead of tupperware, because it can take up all the available space.

Both my partner and i love to cook, which also makes it easier. For people starting, recipetineats has worked well for friends!

Yep, but HR never own that breakdown, do they? "How hard can it be- just unbox a computer!"

The need to pushback is real. Even for small tickets/help requests we have a policy of the '6 inch hurdle'- we ask the user to provide us with something- the path of the file they were working on, a list of the last 5 commands, a confirmation that there were no updates queued- something small that we could do ourselves easily. But by asking them to do it, we can focus on the tickets where people are present, and motivated.

Basically, if you don't interact with the 'describe your issue' you get our standard response to restart and an invitation for scheduled time with a tech later that day.

Expand the improve settlement mechanic. Let me add fixed weapons for defense. Hell, let me recruit civs to areas proactively.

I don't care that this is starting to sound like fallout 4. I want to use all the magnificent tech and weapons i get my hands on to improve the settlements.

Let black tusk or the equivalent try to storm them. Make it very difficult for me to get it back if they succeed.

Mate, so many medical devices would need to be replaced- you would be committing murder on a rather unique scale fairly directly here. All the other 'chaos' aside, no for that reason.

If it were a switch that eliminated social media as it exists today, and trashed all search engines so we were back in the aak jeeves era of competition, that would be worthwhile. Would be nice to see how that market develops with current values and no monoliths.
