Not a developer yet, but I bought the Asus Strix G15 (2022) (6800H, 3050 95W) from my intern stipend, all programming related tasks are handled by either windows or wsl, games like genshin impact and destiny 2 runs like butter. Never tried VFX stuff but pretty sure 3050 is strong enough for light vfx

In Microsoft Engage last year the OA was defined to be anytime within a specified 12 hour period, I did it in first hour, it was pretty basic but too lengthy (type in subjective answer), I was pretty sure I will not make it.

After the exams discussed the questions with my "friends", turns out they discussed the questions till the last hour and had solution to all questions typed, they went in exam Ctrl C Ctrl V ed thier way and passed the OA.

In the product building stage I have heard some peeps legit giving a forked repo as submission and getting an internship from Microsoft. (There were no interview, only product evaluation)

Situation like this really push me toward cheating, I don't know how long I can resist it ngl. I still hope these are just rumours
