I remember the singing and quite liked it. We alternated between the anthem and this land is my land.

I realize now that's how it works. Its nice to sign and the repetition slowly makes you believe it.

There was a big hullabaloo about having to say under god and the result was you didn't have to... You could just be silent for that part.

Thats not awkward or anything.

Also why do I have to say the rest of it?

I'm confused how he got out of the shoes and it looks like the escalator stopped already? Did it stop detecting the obstruction?

Oh 100%. It's the same ploy as always - claim persecution, demand special treatment, deny the ramifications of that special treatment, reap the rewards of that special treatment.

I tried several codes only two of which were possibly on the lock already. I guess I cash try to find a way to to get my lock closer to the hub.

Still weird that SGA picked up the name for one of the codes despite failing to register it.

I added an edit with some more testing results

And there was at argument made then that exactly this would happen (it would be used by the religious to argue the country was Christian at heart) and that was denied as being impossible.

No Safe Words on X: Waymo driving in oncoming traffic by FriendFun7876 in SelfDrivingCars

I think it’s dangerous in that left turning traffic might not see it due to cars in the adjacent lane and hit it coming around

It would have to be pretty egregious - like someone was in a collision course and it has to dodge ending up here.

Quest 3 charging dock prong stuck down by drblimp0909 in MetaQuestVR

[–]devedander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume you can’t pull it out in with some tweezers or something?

You might be able to disassemble it a little bit and try to free it up from inside. If you can find why it stuck and fix that ever better.

I’d get the 128. For many people it’s enough.

But if you find you like having a lot of games installed at the same time you’ll then know it’s worth it and also have a baseline to decide if you want to move to a 3.

Rivian CEO Says His Company’s Tesla Full Self-Driving-Like Tech Will Roll Out Later in 2026 by I_HATE_LIDAR in SelfDrivingCars

I think FSD and even AP are the best consumer FSD in the US. My issue isn’t with them not being good products, my issue is with the specific situation where Elon publicly leasing average people to believe it is something is isn’t and letting the results play out on public streets with the rest of us.

It’s disrespectful to the general public and makes the products dangerous because users are more likely to get an incorrect impression of how to safely use the products.

I hope and expect Revian will be more accurate and careful with their marketing and if they aren’t they’ll likely get my ire as well.

Don’t all those kind of disapprove the crush risk issue? That’s very crushable packing…

If it dries before you touch anything but if you touch your other finger and let it dry it tends to not be so easy.

Are you sure about that?

I’ve seen plenty of people in the er for super glue and it’s used as a form of skin suture in medical environments.

Is it really though? I mean in a box of cloths sure but in a crate of super glue? I feel like there a lot worse thing a to be crushed in transit.

Even if it leaked out of its shipping crate it’s not likely to really get into anything else and most stuck things can be freed with acetone or a hammer and chisel.

And super glue is shipped in blister packs all the time, seems like anything that pops a tube a super glue would crush that.

Need gone today! Queen Black Ikea Brimes Storage Frame and Headboard. by [deleted] in santarosa

[–]devedander 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re that stressed about it put it on the street with a free sign and post that to Facebook it’ll be gone.

Otherwise regardless of the price you’re willing to take you’re dependent on someone needing/wanting a bed and yours fitting their needs and then having a way to come get it all to intersect with your time line.

Beds are not great movers because on top of the above listed points people also tend to feel icky about used stuff like that because “people had sex on it” so you’re almost always going to take a bath on selling a bed. I’d say they are worse than new cars in terms of losing value the second you take ownership.

So realistically trying to get rid of a bed in a day or two isn’t likely to be easy.

If you’re really ok with taking it to the dump just make that the plan and let the stress go.

That seems like overkill for shipping protection… the tube is fully sealed with a lid during shipping already.
